Inheritance and Origin

Martial Souls are commonly inherited through family bloodlines. Records collected by Martial Soul Hall connect a child's awakened Martial Soul to those of their parents, and great clans generally preserve their inherited Martial Souls across generations. 82

Yu Xiaogang has considered the theory that Martial Souls originated from descendants of transformed Soul Beasts and human Soul Masters. Under this hypothesis, the descendants' mixed bloodlines could neither directly wield a Soul Beast's power core nor manifest a beast body normally, resulting in Martial Souls. This remains conjecture and is widely regarded as implausible by other Soul Masters. 318
