After meeting Tang Hao, Tang Xiao, and Ah Yin, he kept Ah Yin’s identity secret and successfully formed a vortex, while warning Bibi Dong not to attempt it yet.

• Bibi Dong secretly left Spirit City to travel with Yu Xiaogang, and Flender joined them after Yu Xiaogang agreed to take him along.
• In Swell City, Yu Xiaogang investigated missing villagers and caravans, then led the group to Snake Plum Village, where they exposed a Fallen Soul Master who had drugged them and planned to absorb their souls.
• Yu Xiaogang studied the Fallen Soul Master’s notes and Soul Power Vortex, then used his observations to develop a method for condensing a human Soul Core.
• Tang Xiao confronted Yu Xiaogang at Snake Plum Village, and Yu Xiaogang’s Mental Blast left Tang Xiao and Ah Yin injured while Tang Hao collapsed from the lingering effects of an earlier defeat.
• Yu Xiaogang identified Ah Yin as a transformed hundred-thousand-year Soul Beast but kept her identity from Spirit Hall, and Bibi Dong promised not to reveal it.

Yu Xiaogang recruited Gu Rong by revealing the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan’s discoveries and invited him to join a voyage toward a new continent. The group sailed to Sea God Island, where they arrived as guests and learned about the trials offered to the Sea God’s followers.

• Yu Xiaogang investigated the accusations against the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan’s shop and learned that the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect was behind the provocations.
• Yu Xiaogang invited Gu Rong to join the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, revealing his discoveries, the clan’s secret arts, and his Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring.
• Gu Rong agreed to join Yu Xiaogang and travel with him to search for a new continent, while keeping the destination secret.
• Yu Xiaogang hired the Vast Ocean Team and prepared the ship with a Soul Power propulsion device before the group departed Vast Sea City.
• The Vast Ocean Team handled the voyage’s needs while Yu Xiaogang advised Lu Jinjue not to press the experts for guidance while they studied Soul Cores.
• Yu Xiaogang explained Sea God Island’s rules and introduced the group to its High Priest, Bo Saixi, through Qian Daoliu’s letter.

Yu Xiaogang refused the Sea God’s offer because it required him to replace Little Dragon, so Bibi Dong received the Sea God’s Nine Trials instead. On Sea God Island, the group trained and grew stronger, and Bibi Dong completed her First Trial with Yu Xiaogang’s help.

• Bo Saixi offered Yu Xiaogang and his companions Sea God trials, and they accepted, with Bibi Dong receiving the Top-Level Seven Trials.
• The Sea God offered Yu Xiaogang godhood but required him to replace Little Dragon, so Yu Xiaogang refused and agreed to help Bibi Dong complete the Sea God’s Nine Trials in exchange for divine gifts.

He began pursuing godhood through the people’s faith and planned to oppose the Empire’s unjust laws, leaving his campaign about to begin.

• Bibi Dong learned that her next Sea God trial required retrieving the Sea God’s Heart, and Yu Xiaogang identified it as the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud in the Heaven Dou Imperial Collection Vault.
• Yu Xiaogang led Bibi Dong, Flender, and their companions away from Sea God Island to search beyond Douluo Continent, and they reached the Sun Moon Continent after months at sea.
• Yu Xiaogang’s group explored the Sun Moon Empire and learned about its Soul Engineers, while Flender became Xu Shouyi’s temporary student and heard about the Empire’s oppression and Evil Soul Masters.
• Yu Xiaogang and Gu Rong hunted Fallen Soul Masters, and Yu Xiaogang killed Blood Fiend and the Soul Devouring Sect after discovering Prince Minggan’s correspondence with Blood Fiend.
• Yu Xiaogang studied Blood Fiend’s records and discussed with Gu Rong how the Empire’s oppression and lack of shared faith might let him build a following and pursue godhood.
