Each time his fingertip tapped out, the spiritual light precisely embedded itself into the subtle gaps of the grand formation's operation, like a key sliding into a lock, guiding the vast and violent Four Symbols power to flow peacefully, temporarily opening a passage.
"Weng—ka—"
A faint, unusual sound rang out, like metal and stone breaking apart or space itself opening.
The mountain wall before him—unyielding, eternal and unchanging, bearing endless pressure without a scratch—parted silently to both sides like a curtain drawn back by an invisible giant hand, revealing the inner space it had guarded for endless years.
There was no world-shaking commotion, no violent surge of magical power—only a natural harmony that followed the Heavenly Dao, as if success would come naturally.
In an instant, a torrent of pure, dense, and primal spiritual energy, carrying the most primitive aura of Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire, surged forth like a flood accumulated over ten thousand ages!
Lord Wanshouyuan felt every pore on his body open wide, greedily absorbing this rare spiritual energy. With each breath, his magical power churned and boiled, his flesh felt comfortable and relaxed, and even his Primordial Spirit transmitted waves of joy. The mental energy he had expended earlier was rapidly replenished.
The spiritual energy was so dense it nearly turned liquid, shimmering with the four-colored radiance of Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire, suffusing the entire space.
What met Lord Wanshouyuan's eyes was not some vast and boundless Blessed Land, but a small yet bottomless Innate Spiritual Pool. The pool contained no ordinary spring water.
Instead, it was entirely formed from liquefied Innate Four Symbols Spiritual Energy, steaming and rising with myriad rays of rosy clouds. And at the center of the pool, rooted in the void with roots probing into unknown dimensions, grew a divine and extraordinary spiritual root, its Dao resonance naturally perfected!
The spiritual root stood about ten feet tall, its entire body carved from the finest emerald—verdant and sparkling, with treasure light flowing and boundless vitality surging.
Its form resembled a tree but was not quite a tree, more like a giant version of an innate plantain.
It had no lush branches or leaves, only four enormous, perfectly shaped plantain leaves at its crown, comparable to a grand canopy.
These four leaves differed in color, their veins profound and mysterious, their Dao resonance naturally perfected, each corresponding to one of the Xiantian Four Symbols Origins:
One leaf was earthy yellow and heavy, bearing the weight of the earth, its veins meandering like dragons and snakes, emitting an unparalleled sense of stability and endurance;
One was deep blue and vast, concealing the essence of water, its surface seeming to hold endless waves quietly flowing, nourishing all things;
One was pale green and flowing, wind qi swirling around it, its edges trembling slightly, cutting the surrounding space into subtle ripples, swift and formless;
One was blazing red and scorching, fire essence leaping within, radiating astonishing heat and the aura of destruction and rebirth, brilliant and dazzling.
The four divine leaves swayed without wind, following some mysterious trajectory as they gently waved, naturally drawing together the power of Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire, colliding, merging, and even evolving wisps of Chaos Aura, indescribably profound.
The four leaves perfectly corresponded to and condensed the four great innate origin attributes of Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire!
"The Innate Four Symbols Plantain Tree!"
Lord Wanshouyuan blurted out, his tone carrying a trace of hard-to-conceal amazement and joy.
According to his true body's memories, this Innate Spiritual Root was indeed a rare treasure born from the Heavenly Dao at the dawn of world-opening. Its four leaves were all supreme divine objects containing innate origin laws, with endless uses and immense power.
In his hazy memories.
These leaves seemed destined to be obtained by the Grand Pure Sage, Laozi, who would refine them into four Innate Treasure Fans of boundless power—one fanning fire to aid alchemy, one fanning wind with infinite might.
They would greatly assist in alchemy, artifact refinement, and even overcoming enemies, earning fame throughout the Primordial World.
But now, Hongjun had not yet emerged, the Heavenly Dao had not yet manifested, and the sages had not yet appeared. In the Primordial World, opportunities belonged to those with virtue (or strength).
Today, this spiritual root had been discovered by Lord Wanshouyuan first. By destined affinity and by his own ability, it was fated to belong to Zhenyuanzi's lineage, no longer something destined for another.
This object contained the most primal Four Symbols Law. If properly cultivated on Longevity Mountain, nourished by Innate Earthen Energy, it would bring incalculable benefits to his comprehension of the Great Dao, perfection of his own techniques, consolidation of the Book of the Earth's defenses, and even his future path planning.
Lord Wanshouyuan hesitated no longer. Such an Innate Spiritual Root could only be transplanted back to the foundation of Longevity Mountain, protected by his true body's power and the Earth Fetal Membrane, and carefully nourished with Innate Earthen Energy, to thrive endlessly and even make further progress.
He stepped forward, his expression solemn, and activated his mystical technique. His hands formed profound hand seals, and streams of gentle yet powerful Wood Divine Light surged forth, like countless soft and tough silk threads.
Carefully, he wrapped the entire Four Symbols Plantain Tree along with the precious pool of Innate Spiritual Liquid containing the Four Symbols Origin beneath it, slowly lifting it.
His movements were extremely gentle and slow, his divine sense highly concentrated, afraid of damaging even a trace of the spiritual root's roots, leaves, or the Dao resonance within.
The plantain tree seemed to sense the same-origin, gentle, and mellow Innate Wood Essence and Earth Qi emanating from him. It trembled lightly, its four-colored radiance flowing, offering no resistance but instead transmitting a hint of intimacy.
Finally, the entire divine spiritual root and the pool of spiritual liquid transformed into a four-colored, dazzling stream of light, docilely collected into the Universe in Sleeve within his wide sleeves, carefully placed in a separately opened spiritual space filled with restrictions, awaiting its return to Longevity Mountain.
After the spiritual root was taken, the Xiantian Restriction behind the mountain wall flickered urgently a few times, lost its core support, and slowly dissipated and dissolved, returning to the ordinary mountain wall as if it had never existed, leaving no trace.
Having obtained such a precious, top-tier Innate Spiritual Root of the Primordial World, Lord Wanshouyuan's heart was filled with joy, yet his Dao heart remained as calm as water, neither impatient nor complacent.
He knew well that climbing Buzhou Mountain was far more difficult than imagined. The previous exploration of restrictions, comprehension of the formation, and collection of the spiritual root had consumed considerable mental energy and magical power.
He returned to the rock depression where the pressure was slightly weaker, sat down cross-legged again, calmed his mind, and fully activated the Wood Scripture, absorbing the still-dense Innate Spiritual Qi around him (though inferior to the spiritual pool, it far exceeded ordinary blessed lands), replenishing his consumption, and polishing his cultivation, which had slightly improved from resisting pressure and understanding the grand formation, as well as his now-stronger physical body.
Thick green light formed a solid cocoon around his body, like a giant egg, constantly inhaling and exhaling vast amounts of energy, repairing the finest hidden injuries, and slowly sorting out the newly comprehended Law Fragments of the Four Symbols, integrating them into his own Dao foundation, making it more perfect and solid.
He prepared himself most fully and perfectly for the next stage of climbing toward the even more terrifying mountain peak, where the pressure could make a Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal hesitate.
The pressure ahead would surely be even more terrifying, the path more treacherous, but it would also inevitably mean more opportunities, challenges, and possibly even greater surprises.
His gaze once again turned toward the mountain path above, shrouded in clouds and mist, where the gale winds were like blades and the pressure was like a prison, seemingly bearing the weight of the entire Primordial World. His eyes were calm as water, yet held an unshakable determination and persistence.
