History
Zhenyuanzi cultivated by absorbing Earthen Energy and merging with Longevity Mountain. He learned to operate its naturally formed nine-layer Great Earth Formation, which draws on the earth veins. Wuzhuang Temple stands at the formation's core 2 17.
The mountain became home to Hongyun, Lord Wanshouyuan, Qingfeng and Mingyue, and later disciples and guardian beings selected by Zhenyuanzi. Its protected grounds served as a place for cultivation and Dao lectures 3 25 37.
Zhenyuanzi later settled beings fleeing turmoil near Buzhou Mountain in the outer area of Longevity Mountain, beyond the core formation's light screen. He forbade internal strife and assigned Emperor, True Martial and Nine Spirits Yuan Sheng to help govern and patrol the new settlements 154 156. Hongyun's Fire Cloud Cave was subsequently joined to the mountain's earth veins, adding a cultivation ground and strengthening its spiritual energy and Dao resonance 129 130.
After Lord Wanshouyuan announced a lecture on the Earth Dao and Reincarnation, Earth Dao destiny converged on Longevity Mountain. Over the following three thousand years, its earth-vein spirituality grew more pronounced, Wuzhuang Temple changed with it, and cultivators gathered around the mountain to await the sermon 283 289.

Longevity Mountain is a cloud-shrouded divine mountain with dense Innate Spiritual Qi, deep earth veins and a pervasive Dao resonance of stability and vitality 405 478.
- Mountain grounds — ancient trees, rare herbs, spiritual springs, spirit birds and beasts inhabit the slopes 284 478.
- Wuzhuang Temple — its ancient blue-gray walls appear joined to the bedrock and bear patterns resembling mountain ranges and reincarnation tracks; seven-colored spiritual mist surrounds it 289.
- Entrance — a stone tablet at the foot of the mountain reads, “Longevity Mountain Blessed Land, Wuzhuang Temple Cave Heaven” 478.

Earth Veins and Guardian Formation
- The original nine-layer Great Earth Formation converts earth-vein qi into Earthen Energy. It can defend the mountain or mobilize the power of mountains and rivers 2.
- The Mountain Protection Great Formation is linked to the Book of the Earth and Longevity Mountain's ancestral veins, providing defense, concealment and isolation 129.
- At Wuzhuang Temple's core, formation power transforms incoming Chaos Energy Streams into auspicious clouds and dense Profound Yellow mist 17.
Fire Cloud Cave
- Hongyun's self-contained blessed land is connected to Longevity Mountain's earth veins. Its entrance merges into the protection formation and is difficult for passersby to detect 129 130.
- The addition increases the mountain's spiritual energy, Dao resonance and available cultivation space 130.
Earth Carries All Heavens Eternal Treasure Rotation Undying Great Formation
- Zhenyuanzi, Hongyun and Daoist Yin Yang spend forty-nine years reforging the mountain's defenses. Zhenyuanzi reshapes the earth-vein network, Hongyun adds changing Four Symbols restrictions, and Yin Yang balances their operation through Taiji 391.
- The resulting formation weakens and absorbs attacks, draws energy from the earth and stars to repair itself, and has a hidden formation eye deep in the mountain gate's earth veins 391.
- Zhenyuanzi states that breaking it would require four Sages attacking the same node together with Heavenly Dao supreme treasures 391.
