Background / History

The Primordial World was created when Pangu opened heaven and earth from the formless Chaos. His efforts exhausted him: after stabilizing the new realm, he fell, and his body transformed into its mountains, rivers, sun, moon, stars, and other geographical foundations. The remnants of his power, will, and Dao continued to shape the world long afterward. 1

Following an unknown span of time, Chaos Energy within the world transformed into Innate Spiritual Qi. This fertile early era produced countless birds, beasts, Innate Spiritual Roots, and Innate Spiritual Treasures. The first living beings were born with Golden Immortal cultivation, while many later-rare species thrived across the continents. 1 25 41

The world’s early order was governed openly by Great Dao laws. This changed when the Dragon, Phoenix, and Kirin clans made vows to protect their respective domains of sea, sky, and land. Their vows awakened the Heavenly Dao, which assumed direct authority over worldly order as the Great Dao withdrew into the underlying foundation of reality. 153

The Dragon-Han Initial Tribulation devastated the world’s land, spiritual veins, and natural laws. Great battles damaged mountains, rivers, and Earth Veins on a vast scale, while the three dominant clans ultimately accepted suppression duties to repay their karmic debts. The world slowly recovered through its own restorative capacity, the Earth Dao’s nourishment, and Reincarnation’s absorption of lingering resentment and Sha Qi. 184 190 328

A further transformation occurred when Reincarnation and the Earth Dao were established. The newly formed Netherworld entered the Earth Veins and connected to the Nine Netherworlds, providing a destination for lost souls and completing the earthly cycle of life, death, yin, and yang. 267 268

Nuwa’s creation of the Human Race established the Human Dao as the third Dao alongside Heaven and Earth. With the later completion of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, the Primordial World entered a balanced era in which the Three Talents mutually supported and restrained one another. 333 469
