Siege and Kill I

The entrance to the tomb was directly below the tree. Rhode planned to sneak into the tomb without being detected by the wolf pack.

The passage inside the tomb was not very long. In the beginning, Rhode had to observe the terrain of the tomb passage while dealing with Undead Creatures. He didn't spend much time before leaving the tomb.

In a very short period, Rhode, running at full speed, passed the location where he had previously killed a Skeleton Warrior and was not far from where the Ghouls were placed.

Suddenly, Rhode's body trembled as he ran, and he felt a palpitation. The enhanced perception from his Scout skill reached its peak. Rhode felt all the hairs on his body stand on end, as if he were in immense danger.

Rhode quickly turned around and saw the wolf king, mid-run, gathering magical energy in its mouth. Then, a Magic Arrow took shape and shot towards him at an extremely high speed.

Rhode hurriedly took out a shield from his Space Ring. To avoid slowing himself down, Rhode directly threw the shield in the direction of the Magic Arrow's trajectory.

The Magic Arrow hit the shield. With a loud bang, the shield was knocked down, falling to the ground with its surface covered in cracks.

Although Rhode had minimized the time it took to retrieve and throw the shield, it inevitably affected him. The distance between the wolf king and Rhode clearly shortened.

Rhode couldn't afford to conserve scrolls anymore. He immediately took out a Magic Arrow scroll from his Space Ring and tore it open. The tattered scroll fell to the ground, clearly unusable again.

As Rhode advanced, the passage narrowed from wide to constricted. Finally, Rhode saw the silhouette of a Skeleton Warrior ahead.

Rhode realized he had returned to the spot where he first awakened, with corpses scattered all around.

The moment Rhode saw the Skeleton Warrior, the Skeleton Warrior also spotted Rhode and prepared to swing its sword at him.

Rhode stared at the soul fire in the Skeleton Warrior's eye sockets. After mastering Mental Mark, Rhode could discern the simple emotions displayed by the soul fire.

Resentment, unwillingness, bloodlust, a craving for slaughter… all sorts of emotions were contained within the Skeleton Warrior's soul fire, with only one thing missing: its own will.

The wolf king arrived from behind and engaged the Skeleton Warrior in combat. Neither could gain the upper hand for the moment.

Unlike Rhode's flesh and blood body, skeletal Undead Creatures had a significant advantage against wolves.

The wolf king couldn't bite through the bones in the Skeleton Warrior's legs, making it difficult to restrict its movement by inflicting damage. Instead, it had to dodge the Skeleton Warrior's sword strikes.

The Skeleton Warrior's base attributes were high, ranking among the top for Tier 1 creatures. If the Skeleton Warrior's sword strike landed, the wolf king would also be in trouble.

Although the wolf king was of a higher tier than the Skeleton Warrior, due to the nature of their counterplay, it couldn't defeat the Skeleton Warrior for the time being.

While the wolf king and the Skeleton Warrior were fighting, Rhode entered the tomb behind them, preparing to control the other Skeleton Warrior.

After killing the Skeleton Warrior, led by the wolf king, the wolf pack crossed the scattered corpses and prepared to enter the tomb behind.

Rhode, holding his weapon, stood with the other Skeleton Warrior in the tomb, as if deliberately waiting for the wolf pack to enter. There was no trace of the urgency he had felt when entering the tomb earlier; instead, a cold smile played on his lips.

The beasts' perception of danger made the wolf king feel that something was wrong immediately. Before it could howl to command the surrounding wolves, the pack began to stir.

Now, this group of corpses had stood up again, surrounding the wolf pack in a strange, hunched posture.

The reason for the appearance of these Ghouls was Rhode's use of Soul Summoning on the arranged corpses. After casting Soul Summoning, Rhode had immediately used Mental Mark to control these Ghouls.

Rhode controlled these Ghouls with Mental Mark, instructing them to remain motionless. Only after the wolf pack had passed them without noticing did he have them rise.

From the very beginning, Rhode had no intention of letting any of the wolves escape. To prevent the suspicious wolf pack from escaping, Rhode devised this plan.
