The stretch ended with Wu Xuan, Wang Qiuer, and their companions preparing to enter the Star Dou Great Forest to hunt for his eighth ring.

• Wu Xuan and Xian Lin'er lured the Golden Scale Griffin into a battle, where it broke through to three hundred thousand years before Wu Xuan killed it and gained its Soul Ring and Right Leg Soul Bone.
• Wu Xuan absorbed the ring, reached rank seventy-six, and later created the True Thunder Secret Method and the One Qi Great Hand Seal during seclusion.
• Wang Qiuer defeated Beibei in her Inner Court assessment, while Wu Xuan kept his distance from her and prepared for the Sea God Affinity event.

After Mu En’s death, Wu Xuan assumed responsibility for the academy and reshaped the Inspection Hall’s mission priorities.

• Wu Xuan helped the group defeat several soul beasts, then pursued the Zhongli brothers and killed them before Wang Qiuer hunted the Dark Gold Fearsome Claw Bear.
• Wu Xuan and Wang Qiuer fought and killed the Soul Devouring Spider Emperor, whose soul ring was advanced to two hundred thousand years for Wu Xuan.
• Back at Shrek, Wu Xuan selected teammates for the tournament, and Wang Qiuer received a fused Left Leg Soul Bone while winning a challenge match before losing a spar with Wu Xuan.
• Mu En told Wu Xuan that he had less than four months to live, taught him to use the Golden Tree’s power, and gave him the Dragon Pill and the Descent Secret Method.
• During his training, Wu Xuan met the Wind God and Space God, agreed to consider the Wind God’s inheritance, and received a token that began the Wind God Nine Trials.

• Wu Xuan reshaped academy leadership and Soul Tool Department funding, then entrusted Mu En’s right arm Soul Bone to Elder Lin Huiqun for Beibei and approved Soul Bones for Zhang Lexuan and Han Ruo Ruo.

• The Tang Sect and Shrek stayed undefeated in Group One, and Wu Xuan accepted Huo Yuhao’s wager to face him and Wang Dong'er while suppressing his Soul Power.

Wu Xuan helped Shrek reach the semifinals, destroyed the Holy Spirit Sect team, and raided Ming Capital’s military supply warehouse. As allied forces attacked the imperial palace, Wu Xuan joined the assault and ordered the Sharp Blade Squad to execute Xu Tianran.
