Background / History

Firefly is the last known Glamour Iron Cavalry member, a genetically engineered soldier created to fight the Swarm. The Iron Cavalry's genetic design was rooted in Propagation technology, and its members were treated as weapons rather than ordinary people. 1053 1077

She suffers from Entropy Syndrome, an irreversible physical dissociation condition that gradually erases motor function, self-perception, and others' perception of the afflicted person. The condition was a control measure imposed on the Iron Cavalry; Firefly relied on a medical pod and a specialized environment to preserve basic senses and slow the process. 1004

Sam serves as both Firefly's medical pod and combat mecha. To Firefly, it is not merely equipment: it carries the memories, glory, and companionship of the Iron Cavalry's battles. 1005 1052
