Great Herta monitors the development of Herta Doll #0988 after it gains a Machine Spirit. She accepts the doll’s request to be called “Unique Herta,” later known as Little Herta, and treats its unusual independence as an opportunity for research. 139

She permits Little Herta’s “Crown Prince” title and watches its ambitions with amusement, provided its personality mapping remains functional. 145

Conflict with Polka Kakamon

After learning that Polka Kakamon was responsible for sabotaging her research through causality and probability, Great Herta becomes enraged and pursues retaliation. She uses Chen Li’s miraculous artifacts in an Invitation Space to humiliate Polka, but exhausts twelve Friends Circle bonds in the process. 142 143
