Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, several months had passed.
On this day, Water Yuanzi finally, though reluctantly, returned the Immortal Sword he had obtained from Wenjian Cliff to Ning Wangshu. "Here, brat. It's yours!"
Seeing Water Yuanzi looking so dejected, Ning Wangshu couldn't help but laugh. He smiled at him and teased, "What, have you already gotten tired of playing with it?"
Water Yuanzi rolled his eyes at him, then sighed and said with a bitter smile, "Sigh, it's not that I'm tired of it. I've just accepted the reality that I'm destined to never have anything to do with a treasure like this in my life!"
"Rather than keep getting distracted and irritated every day just from looking at it, I might as well return it to you as soon as possible."
As he spoke, Water Yuanzi wore a thoroughly dejected expression.
"Hey..."
Ning Wangshu chuckled again and shrugged. "I told you ages ago, but you just wouldn't give up. Now you know I wasn't lying to you, right?"
"Fine. Since you've had your fill of it, I'll put it away."
"Go ahead, go ahead. Put it away already!"
Water Yuanzi waved his hands repeatedly, urging Ning Wangshu to put the Immortal Sword away at once.
He looked as if he couldn't bear to look at that Immortal Sword for even another second.
Ning Wangshu smiled and said nothing. He simply put the Immortal Sword into his Storage Ring.
Then he suddenly grew serious. "Actually, even if you hadn't come to see me today to return the Immortal Sword, I was planning to ask you about it in the next few days."
Water Yuanzi was taken aback. Before Ning Wangshu could finish speaking, he asked, "You're... planning to leave?"
"Mm."
Ning Wangshu nodded slightly
