Hearing Ning Wangshu's words and the assurances from Xiang Chengnan and the others, Feng Guanlan felt a tumult of emotions. She was moved and delighted, yet also felt a hint of inexplicable melancholy.
She couldn't quite put a name to what she was feeling.
It was complicated.
But after taking a deep breath, she immediately bowed and said, "Thank you, Senior, for saving Guanlan and my Tingchao Sect. I and the entire Tingchao Sect will remember this kindness forever."
After a pause, she couldn't help adding, "Now that we're parting, I don't know if I'll ever have the chance to see your immortal countenance again. But if you have the time, please come visit my Tingchao Sect someday."
"I will be sure to welcome you with open arms!"
She was truly grateful from the bottom of her heart.
Ning Wangshu smiled faintly. "Meeting is a matter of fate. If I have the chance, I'll certainly visit the Tingchao Sect again and have a talk with Sect Master Feng."
Feng Guanlan bowed deeply once more. "Then I'll await your visit, whenever you choose to come, Senior!"
Ning Wangshu nodded, then turned to Yao Shengxue beside him. "Miss Yao, now that the crisis facing the Tingchao Sect has passed, you can return to the Eastern Wasteland with the two elders from your Miaoyu Sect."
"Partings may lead to reunions. I hope we'll meet again someday!"
Yao Shengxue felt just as conflicted. Taking a deep breath, she said slowly, "Senior, you've treated me with great kindness during this time and helped me in so many ways. I hope I'll have another chance to see you again, too."
"If you have the time, please come visit my Miaoyu Sect as well..."
"Certainly!"
Ning Wangshu smiled faintly and glanced at Feng Guanlan and Yao Shengxue.
