May 4, afternoon.
The Xiao siblings returned to Kyoto one after another: the eldest, Xiao Jianguo; the third, Ning Wangshu's aunt, Xiao Yuqing; the fourth, Xiao Jianhai; and the fifth, Xiao Jianyun!
Besides the siblings, the third generation of the Xiao family—Ning Wangshu's cousins—had also mostly returned to Kyoto with them.
They already knew who Ning Wangshu was.
The entire Xiao family was lively now. The younger generation in particular had gathered around Ning Wangshu, excitedly chattering and peppering him with questions.
Even though they were members of the Xiao family's third generation and came from a top-tier family, they still looked up to Ning Wangshu, a man who could be called a legendary figure.
Before, they had only heard about him. Now they had not only met him in person, but learned he was their cousin. How could the younger generation of the Xiao family possibly contain their excitement?
Even Xiao Jianguo and his brothers couldn't help marveling as they watched Ning Wangshu surrounded by the younger generation.
"Who would've thought my nephew was the legendary Golden Dragon General of Bureau 95!"
Xiao Jianguo sighed.
Xiao Jianjun nodded. "Exactly. It's already spread through Kyoto's upper circles, and the people at the top must know about it too. Big brother, barring any surprises, you're a shoo-in for the Central Committee this time!"
"Mm. Come to think of it, I suppose I've got Wangshu to thank for that."
Xiao Jianguo replied with a smile.
"Wangshu, I heard you're the Number One Person in the Cultivation World. But you're only a little over two years older than me!"
"And isn't cultivation supposed to be really hard? Even reaching that Golden Core Great Grandmaster realm is supposed to take decades. How did you become the Number One Person at such a young age?"
