Background
Feng Jie is the daughter of Feng Jinxiao, the former number one cultivator of the Hengwu Continent and a Yang God Realm powerhouse. Her father left for the outer realms before she truly knew him, while her mother died fifteen years before Feng Jie’s meeting with Zhou Wu. Growing up without either parent made Feng Jie outwardly proud and self-reliant, but left her privately afraid of losing those she values. 237 319 368 374
She grew up pursuing Feng Jinxiao’s legacy and intending to surpass him. The Hidden Water Divine Nun, an old confidante of Feng Jinxiao, is an elder Feng Jie calls “Aunt.” 231 281
Appearance
Feng Jie is an exceptionally beautiful young woman with fair skin, bright eyes, and a poised, transcendent bearing. She often dresses in men’s clothing, wears her hair tied up, and carries herself with the roguish confidence of a handsome young master. 222 226
- Usually carries the Guanghan Sword on her back.
- Frequently adopts masculine attire despite objecting strongly to being treated as lesser for being a woman. 226 267
- Her sword-bearing presence is described as calm, stern, and sharp enough to radiate Sword Qi even while her weapon remains sheathed. 242
Personality
Feng Jie is fiercely proud, competitive, and unwilling to let the Heavenly Mandate Sect—or fate itself—define her future. She rejects resignation as weakness and regards the title of Son of Destiny as something imposed from outside rather than an inescapable command. 231 267
Her pride extends to her martial path. She declines the Yunmeng True Scripture despite its value, insisting on pursuing her own path through Feng Jinxiao’s legacy. 281
Beneath her confidence, Feng Jie is emotionally guarded. She initially dismisses other men as unworthy of notice, but Chu Ge’s repeated displays of strength gradually shift her rivalry into admiration and affection. She struggles to voice these feelings directly, despite readily facing powerful enemies with her sword drawn. 268 319

Story Role / Major Arcs
Clash with Chu Ge
Feng Jie first becomes involved with Chu Ge after pursuing Miao Daqi to his location. Chu Ge’s concentrated lightning strike injures her severely enough to force a retreat, establishing both his strength and her willingness to withdraw when outmatched. 223
They meet directly soon afterward, when Chu Ge identifies her as the Heavenly Saint Sword. Although their identities as Sons of Destiny make them potential enemies, they agree to cooperate against the Abyssal Demon Cub. 226 227
Rejecting Fate
After the Abyssal Demon Cub incident, Feng Jie chooses to continue traveling with Chu Ge despite their supposed destined rivalry. She argues that neither of them should accept an imposed fate before the future has been decided. 231
She later tests Chu Ge’s Spirit God power, but is defeated when he employs the Abyssal Devil Dragon Eyes. Rather than resent the loss, she treats strength as its own justification. 231
Yunmeng Sect Ruins
Feng Jie accompanies Chu Ge through the Yunmeng Sect ruins, where they survive the Ice Qilin’s seal, explore the lava region, infiltrate the Origin Ore Vein, and contend with the Fire Cloud Sparrow King. 263 268 283
When Chu Ge offers to share the Yunmeng Sect inheritance, Feng Jie refuses the Yunmeng True Scripture because she will not abandon her father’s martial legacy. She accepts the Yunmeng Pill and Qi Ling Pearl instead. 281
During the Divine Might Sect’s assault on the ruins, Feng Jie accepts the Qiling Sword and supports Chu Ge’s strategy against Zhou Feng. Her attempted assassination of Zhou Feng leaves her injured. 303 304
Feng Jinxiao’s Legacy
Feng Jie leads Chu Ge toward Feng Jinxiao’s inheritance and shares its knowledge with him. Although Chu Ge absorbs more of the inheritance due to his enhanced mental capacity, Feng Jie gains direction for her own cultivation. 310 313
She later entrusts Chu Ge with access to her father’s complete legacy, acknowledging that his martial foundation gives him a greater chance of deciphering its path toward the Yang God Realm. 326
Breakthrough and Confession
With Chu Ge’s assistance, Feng Jie breaks through into the Extreme God Realm. Afterward, she admits her feelings for him to Chu Feixue. 347
Following her advancement to mid-stage Extreme God Realm, Feng Jie openly tells Chu Ge that she has chosen him. What she truly fears is not his other relationships or a lack of formal status, but that he may leave for the outer realms and never return, as her father did. 371
