Background / History
Origin and early leadership
Dijiang was the first Ancestor Witch to manifest. He and his siblings originated from Pangu's twelve streams of turbid qi, which gained form through the Pangu Heart and its essence blood. His Space Law reassured nearby primordial powers that he had not inherited Pangu's feared Law of Strength. 2 161
As First Brother, Dijiang was responsible for understanding the Witch Tribe's affairs and maintaining order among his volatile siblings. When a voice emerged from within the Pangu Heart, he used his power to investigate, determined that a weakened remaining qi was forming their unknown younger brother, and temporarily sealed the Ancestor Witch Hall. 2
Li Hao's warning that the Witch Tribe could become heaven and earth's protagonists—and therefore face destruction in a great tribulation—became a defining concern for Dijiang. He supported measures intended to secure the tribe's future, including widespread cultivation of the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Origin Technique and the acquisition of the Western Earth Vein Origin. 8 12 15 53
Cultivation and preparation
Dijiang helped lead the Ancestor Witches through a hundred-thousand-year cultivation period that activated the Pangu Heart and raised them to the peak of the Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal realm. The resulting Pangu aura frightened Hongjun and harmed many powers spying on Buzhou Mountain. 9 10
He personally tested how the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Origin Technique changed the body: after his enlarged muscles receded, he found his strength had become more condensed rather than weaker. He then gathered the other Ancestor Witches to experience the result themselves. 63
During Hongjun's divine-thunder attacks, Dijiang repeatedly prioritized his siblings' survival. He prepared to use his Space Law to rescue Qiang Liang and Xi Zi, supported Qiang Liang during his breakthrough, and delivered Li Hao's jade slip containing the All Heavens Divine Thunder technique to Qiang Liang and Xi Zi. 99 205 209
Dijiang later followed Li Hao's suggestion to cultivate in Chaos. Chaotic energy acted like spatial turbulence, allowing his Space Law to advance rapidly; after seven hundred years of cultivation alongside Zhu Jiuyin, he completed his enlightenment. 259
Family and later leadership
Dijiang initially agreed to seek Dao Companions partly to test whether the Witch Tribe could reproduce without relying on the Blood Pool. Xihe and Changxi became his Dao Companions, though Dijiang was initially too embarrassed to raise the subject of merging origins himself. 84 248 471
Xihe later revealed that she had secretly merged her essence with Dijiang, resulting in her pregnancy. Dijiang's normally imposing demeanor gave way to embarrassment and anxiety, particularly during Xihe's childbirth. Their son was born with physical strength and Primordial Spirit power comparable to the second layer of the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Origin Technique. 249 469
As the Witch Tribe grew stronger, Dijiang continued to act as its stabilizing leader. He backed Li Hao's casualty-minimizing battle strategy, presented the Human Race Salvation Plan to the Ancestor Witches, and remained committed to protecting the tribe without needlessly seeking conflict. 275 398
Appearance
Dijiang's original Ancestor Witch form follows the Twelve Ancestor Witches' distinctive Pangu-derived traits: a dragon head and serpent body. His physique is exceptionally powerful and muscular, though the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Origin Technique can condense that physical power even when his muscles visibly recede. 7 63
- Original form is dragon-headed and snake-bodied. 7
- Possesses an imposing, physically powerful body. 63
- Became more humanoid in appearance after the Ancestor Witches' cultivation progress. 10
- Is regarded as comparatively refined and gentle in manner beside his rougher siblings. 129
Personality
Dijiang is calm, authoritative, and deeply duty-bound. The other Ancestor Witches defer to him as First Brother, and he mediates disputes, suppresses disruptive behavior, and makes final decisions after considering the tribe's interests. 2 146 266
His foremost priority is the Witch Tribe's survival. He takes Li Hao's warnings seriously, supports plans that preserve the tribe's fortune, and sees stronger Ancestor Witches as indispensable protectors of the wider clan. 53 248 257
Despite his directness, Dijiang is capable of caution and strategic thought. He recognizes the danger of excessive fame, studies the weaknesses of enemy formations, and uses concealment rather than force when a direct assault would create unnecessary attention. 236
He is strict with his siblings—particularly Zhu Rong—but his discipline is paired with real affection. He praises progress when it is earned, worries over his brothers' safety and lifelong happiness, and becomes visibly anxious when his family is in danger. 245 480
Abilities & Skills
Law of Space
Dijiang's innate Law of Space is his defining power. It allows him to move himself and others across vast distances, conceal groups, isolate private areas, and store objects within spatial space.
- Transported a group of Ancestor Witches 108,000 li toward Kunlun Mountain. 287
- Can rapidly teleport across the Primordial Era and open spatial rifts for travel or release. 102 258
- Uses spatial storage to hold major objects, including the Treasure Distribution Rock. 259
- Can isolate a conversation from outside observation by sealing off space. 205
- Used spatial concealment with Zhu Jiuyin's Time Law to enter the Demon Court without triggering the Primordial River Luo Array. 236
- Can protect or relocate allies in emergencies, though rescuing multiple endangered siblings at once requires careful judgment. 99
Nine Revolutions Mysterious Origin Technique
Dijiang cultivates the Witch Tribe's central body-refinement method, which augments the already formidable physical strength of the Ancestor Witches.
- Reached the peak Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal realm after cultivating the technique and activating the Pangu Heart. 10
- Completed nine cycles of the technique while testing its body-condensing effects. 63
- Grants increasingly condensed physical power rather than relying solely on visible muscle mass. 63
- Contributed to his later enlightenment and Hunyuan-level advancement. 259
Spatial comprehension in Chaos
Chaos provides Dijiang with an environment uniquely suited to advancing his Space Law.
- Recognized chaotic energy as analogous to spatial turbulence. 259
- Used Zhu Jiuyin's accelerated Time Law to intensify his cultivation while moving through Chaos. 259
- Completed his enlightenment after prolonged Chaos cultivation. 259
Leadership and tactical command
Dijiang is the Witch Tribe's central organizer in crises and long-term planning.
- Commands the respect and obedience of the other Ancestor Witches. 2 266
- Recognized the strategic value of the Earth Vein Origin as a safeguard for the Witch Tribe's future. 53
- Supported covert infiltration of the Demon Court after identifying the weakness in its formation's response to non-hostile entry. 236
- Presented the Human Race Salvation Plan and managed conflicting reactions among the Ancestor Witches. 275
- Remains outside major fights when necessary to oversee the battlefield, using Space Law to advance or retreat as conditions require. 398
