Background / History

Ye Junlin began as a sixteen-year-old Xiantian Peak prodigy of the Ye Family. Three Early Grandmaster assassins ambushed him in his courtyard, shattering his dantian and leaving him amnesiac; Uncle Fu gave his life to activate a teleportation talisman and save him. 1

While near death, he bound himself to the Supreme Heavenly Summoning System. Its novice gift repaired his cultivation foundation and granted him the Supreme God-Demon Physique, Supreme God-Demon Scripture, a Bronze Summoning Card, and Dimensional Space. 2

His first summon, Jing Ke, addressed him as “Lord.” Ye Junlin then founded Eternal Night Heaven, declared himself its Lord, established its initial hierarchy, and assigned Jing Ke to the Eight Guards. He also ordered Jing Ke to investigate the Ye Family’s suspected involvement in the assassination attempt. 3

After avenging himself and his parents, Ye Junlin focused on obtaining resources and expanding his forces. He later dispatched Di Shitian and other subordinates to establish the Underworld in the Central Region. The Underworld Palace was placed at Soul Severing Abyss in Death Valley, suppressing local death qi and poisonous gas while driving evil spirits from the surrounding ten thousand miles. 198 212

Personality

The Lord is decisive, ambitious, and highly conscious of hierarchy. When founding Eternal Night Heaven, he immediately defined its chain of command and assigned Jing Ke according to his suitability for stealth and assassination. 3

He treats resources as strategic assets. He converts seized wealth into Energy Points, uses draws to fill weaknesses in his organization, and distributes cultivation resources, masks, and techniques to reinforce capable subordinates. 11 38 49

Though ruthless toward enemies, he rewards service and invests in his followers’ development. After Misty Rain Tower’s first major operation, he permitted his subordinates to take useful seized resources and ordered them to rest before planning for Qingyun Sect retaliation. 16
