Background
Ye Junlin founded Misty Rain Tower after exterminating the Ye Family. He intended it to accept assassination missions and generate the spirit stones needed to expand Eternal Night Heaven. Jing Ke and Yao Li were assigned to establish the organization in Qingzhou City, where a fragmented balance of sects, black-market interests, and hidden forces offered favorable conditions for growth 8 9.
The Tower publicly announced that it could assassinate targets above the Void Glimpse Realm. Its first high-profile commission came from Liu Canglan, who paid one million Low-grade Spirit Stones for the death of Luoxia City Lord Mo Chen 10 12. Jing Ke's team annihilated Mo Chen's mansion, killed its guards and Grandmaster retainers, and took Mo Chen's head as proof of completion. The assassins left the words “Misty Rain Tower” in blood at the scene, immediately establishing the organization as a feared name in Qingzhou 15 17.
Mo Chen's connection to Qingyun Sect brought the Tower into direct conflict with a major regional power. Rather than avoid a bounty set as a trap by Qingyun Sect, Misty Rain Tower accepted it to establish its reputation. Its victory over Qingyun Sect's elders and disciples, followed by Zhuge Xiu's severe defeat, made its name known throughout Qingzhou and the Eastern Domain 22 26 28.
Strongholds and Operations
Qingzhou City Stronghold
The original Qingzhou stronghold was established in the west district, positioned near dense forest for concealment and rapid escape. The pavilion blended into the surrounding alleyways while being protected by an inherent formation 30 33.
| Area | Function |
|---|---|
| Listening Rain Hall | First-floor reception counter and public handling area. |
| Observing Rain Pavilion | Second-floor meeting and intelligence-analysis area, furnished with a sand table. |
| Gazing Rain Terrace | Third-floor quarters for senior personnel; overlooks an area of ten li. |
| Listening Rain Residence | East-wing lodging with one hundred guest rooms for low- and mid-level cultivators. |
| Boiling Rain Pavilion | West-wing tea room and kitchen for rest and meals. |
The entire pavilion is covered by a protective formation, with a defensive formation diagram concealed in an ink landscape painting in the first-floor hall 33.
Bounty Stele Network
Misty Rain Tower placed a Bounty Sub-Stele in a former grocery store opposite a square in Qingzhou City's Black Market. The stele is connected to the main bounty stele at the Tower's stronghold and allows the organization to accept commissions without relying solely on the Black Market mission hall 34 35.
Ground Rat was recruited to manage the Black Market bounty-stele affairs. Langya Pavilion later spread news of the Tower's bounty services throughout Qingzhou 34 35.
Concealed Headquarters
By the time of the Great Gan conflict, the Tower maintained a secret Gan Zhou outpost at Yueju Garden. Its headquarters was protected by the Thousand Illusions Concealment Array, which blocks Divine Sense and makes the site appear to outsiders as a ruined, abandoned courtyard 276 284.
Organization
Leadership

| Ultimate King of Killers | Huo Yun Xie Shen | Peak Land Immortal Realm |

| Vice Tower Lord | Wei Zhuang | Mid Heaven Human Realm |
| Vice Tower Lord | Zhao Gao | Late Heaven Human Realm |
The above leadership roster is documented in the Tower's later force breakdown 295.
Su Muyu was appointed to oversee all Misty Rain Tower affairs and was granted discretion to make operational decisions without reporting every matter to Ye Junlin. Yuan Tiangang subsequently shifted his focus to managing the Bad People intelligence network, with both organizations ordered to expand beyond Qingzhou 92 99 101.
