Background

Six years before the Elite Tournament, Feng Xiaotian met Shui Wuchen at the Four Elements Academy Exchange. While attempting to develop the original Gale Wolf Six Consecutive Slashes, he was challenged by the lower-level Shui Wuchen, whose Ice Slash · Instant Three Slashes nearly effortlessly broke his technique and shattered his Dao Heart. Feng disappeared afterward, but the defeat ultimately drove him to become stronger rather than ending his path. 9

By the Elite Tournament, he had rebuilt himself into an intensely confident Soul King who regarded Shui Wuchen as his sole true rival. He deliberately postponed their long-awaited rematch, conserving his strength while Godwind Academy advanced without him. 9 22

Feng Xiaotian is fiercely competitive and treats powerful opponents as opportunities rather than obstacles. Shui Wuchen’s defeat of him devastated his Dao Heart, but it also gave him the motivation to correct his path and continually refine his self-created techniques. 9 42

He was initially arrogant, once dismissing nearly every contemporary genius besides himself and Shui Wuchen. After Shui Wuchen warned him that the world was larger than the Elite Tournament, Feng Xiaotian accepted the criticism, recognized his own conceit, and committed himself to improving. 9 42

Despite his pride, he is generous toward people he respects.
