Shane and Jason exchanged a glance.

The two walked over, grabbed Constantine by the arms, and quickly dragged him out of everyone's sight.

Only after they had left the grounds of the Hall of Justice did Constantine wrench himself free of them, cursing.

"Damn it! Could you spare a thought for the fact that my body can't take your freakish strength?"

Shane ignored his complaints.

The fact that this guy had shown up uninvited meant he must know plenty about Neron, who claimed to be the current Lord of Hell.

"What do you know?"

Jason questioned Constantine directly.

"Know? I know far too much."

Constantine irritably brushed off his sleeves.

"How many of you agreed to his offer back then?"

Shane thought back for a moment. "Jason and me, Battle Beast, and Joker."

Constantine let out a ridiculously theatrical shriek.

"Five?! No wonder I've been smelling Hell's stink all over Earth's atmosphere!"

Looking thoroughly suspicious, Jason lowered his head and counted on his fingers before asking in confusion.

"Where did the fifth person come from?"

Constantine showed no self-awareness whatsoever, his voice still raised.

"Me, of course!"

Shane and Jason both froze for a moment, then each gave a derisive laugh.

Neither could fathom how Constantine managed to sound so self-righteous.

"So what exactly happens if you make a deal with him?"

Constantine did not answer the question directly right away.

He slipped his left hand into his trench coat's inner pocket and rummaged around for a while, muttering to himself, before finally producing a coin. Unlike the silver coins Shane and the others had received, Constantine's was gold, and the reliefs engraved on both sides were more intricate and ornate.

Shane and Jason took out their own coins as well.

Their silver sheen looked rather dull beside Constantine's gold
