Shane tested the heroes, then traveled with Shazam to Oa, where he found its ruins and was captured by Mongul’s forces on Warworld. There he reunited with Jason, Wilson, and Joker, searched for Batman, and faced Mongul’s gladiators as Jason and Shazam were offered places in the arena.

• Joker learned from Wilson that Batman had disappeared after believing he had caused deaths, then freed him and proposed they work together.
• Shane tested the Teen Titans and Justice League in a staged fight, then warned them about Darkseid and left with Shazam to seek the Green Lantern Corps.
• Shane and Shazam found Oa destroyed and followed a signal that led them to Warworld, where Shane infiltrated the planet and Shazam was captured.
• Shane discovered Jason, Wilson, and Joker among Warworld’s prisoners, and the group escaped their cells while searching for Batman.
• Shane disguised himself as an injured guard, questioned a veteran about Mongul, and entered the treasury with Rachel’s help.
• Mongul confronted Jason and Shazam with a dual-ring Lantern, while Shane emerged with Mongul’s daughter and was challenged to fight Lobo.
• Shane fought Lobo but found that Lobo’s regeneration made him difficult to subdue, while Mongul offered Jason and Shazam places among his gladiators and Jason refused.
