Chapters 26–50 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 26A Draw by Gunfire

Tamura Hiroshi traded intelligence with a Root intermediary and obtained the Sword of the Thunder God, while trying to strengthen his ties to Danzo and protect Nonō. After his embarrassing spar with Pakura, he also studied Sunagakure’s Chakra Threads techniques and improved his prospects for training.

  • Pakura defeated Tamura Hiroshi in their spar, but fled in embarrassment after realizing why he called it a draw.
  • Tamura Hiroshi studied Sunagakure’s Chakra Threads techniques and considered eliminating the intermediary so he could contact Danzo directly.
  • Tamura Hiroshi gave the middle-aged intermediary intelligence suggesting Kumogakure’s main target was Konoha and that it might try to seize the Hyuga Clan’s Byakugan.
  • The intermediary exchanged the Sword of the Thunder God for Tamura Hiroshi’s second intelligence scroll, which left him solemn.
  • Tamura Hiroshi asked Danzo to keep Nonō off dangerous missions and demanded the intermediary bring two portions of summoned-beast Roast Meat next time.

Ch. 27Danzo Ah-Danzo

Shimura Danzo and Hiruzen Sarutobi agreed to secretly target the Uzumaki clan and secure a young Nine-Tails Jinchuriki before other villages could obtain its sealing techniques. Their discussion also revealed Danzo had an asset in Kumogakure, and Hiruzen ended by asking him for money to buy tobacco.

  • Shimura Danzo showed Hiruzen Sarutobi intelligence that Kumogakure and Sunagakure had joined forces and that other villages might seek the Uzumaki Sealing Technique.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi declared that Konoha needed a young Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, and Shimura Danzo promised to bring back the finest candidate.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi authorized Danzo to act discreetly against the Uzumaki clan and warned him to leave no evidence.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi asked whether Danzo had swapped their teacher's Sword of the Thunder God because of the intelligence, but Danzo refused to explain his asset in Kumogakure.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi cautioned Danzo to keep his people from causing trouble, then asked him to lend tens of thousands of ryo for tobacco leaves.

Ch. 28The Whirlpool Deadlock

Hiruzen Sarutobi mobilized Konoha’s clans for a possible war while secretly preparing to confront Shimura Danzō’s Root. The other great villages interpreted Konoha’s movements as a chance to pursue their plan against the Uzumaki Clan, leaving the coming conflict in the Land of Whirlpools uncertain.

  • Hiruzen Sarutobi gave the clan heads fabricated and genuine reports of enemy movements, then assigned the Senju, Uchiha, Hyuga, Sarutobi, and Shimura forces to defend different fronts.
  • The clan heads sent elite units to secure border defenses and clear enemy scouts as Konoha’s mobilization put the other villages on alert.
  • Ōnoki suspected Konoha’s plans might complicate Iwagakure’s attack on the Land of Whirlpools and ordered Gari to adapt to the situation.
  • Ōnoki sent Rōshi with the force bound for the Land of Whirlpools, while Sunagakure and Kirigakure also increased their preparations to seize the Uzumaki Clan’s Sealing Techniques.

Ch. 29Public Enemy of the Ninja World

Tamura Hiroshi and Dodai discussed trying to unseal Kinkaku and Ginkaku’s Six Paths Ninja Tools using Uzumaki sealing arts, and Dodai agreed to bring their hearts to the allied commanders’ meeting. They reflected on Konoha’s growing isolation and the political foundations of the shinobi villages.

  • Tamura Hiroshi asked whether the Uzumaki clan’s sealing arts could unseal the Six Paths Ninja Tools summoned by Kinkaku and Ginkaku.
  • Dodai asked whether Tamura Hiroshi had Kinkaku and Ginkaku’s bodily tissues, and Tamura Hiroshi produced their preserved hearts and sealed them in a scroll.
  • Dodai accepted the scroll and decided to test whether the Uzumaki clan could unseal the tools, which might help Kumogakure in the war.
  • Dodai invited Tamura Hiroshi to attend the Four-Nation Allied Shinobi Army commanders’ meeting in the Land of Whirlpools.
  • Tamura Hiroshi and Dodai discussed Konoha’s growing hostility with the other villages and the limits of the Hokages’ political systems compared with the Daimyo’s administration.

Ch. 30Son of the Hokage

Yozuki A and his companions reached the Land of Whirlpools, where Tamura Hiroshi posed as a Senju envoy and confronted Konoha’s delegation. The standoff left Sarutobi Shinnosuke and his companions defending Hiruzen Sarutobi’s leadership while Tamura Hiroshi continued to test their identities and provoke them.

  • Yozuki A and his companions landed on the coast of the Land of Whirlpools with more than a thousand Kumogakure ninjas and established a camp.
  • Dodai, Tamura Hiroshi, and three Kumogakure jonin disguised themselves as Konoha Anbu and headed to the Uzushio Hidden Village, where Dodai met Uzumaki Ashina.

  • Tamura Hiroshi claimed to represent the Senju Clan and accused Hiruzen Sarutobi of sending Senju elites away from the Land of Whirlpools.
  • Sarutobi Shinnosuke and the girl defended Hiruzen Sarutobi, arguing that the Second had chosen him to prevent conflict within Konoha and that Tsunade could become the Fourth Hokage.

Ch. 31Bluffing Them into Submission

Tamura Hiroshi bluffed his way into Uzushio Hidden Village by posing as a Senju and imitating Senju Tobirama’s chakra. Masahiko Uzumaki recognized Tobirama’s chakra and questioned how Hiroshi possessed it.

  • Tamura Hiroshi insulted Sazuko and challenged the Konoha delegation’s claims that Tsunade could become the Fourth Hokage, prompting Sarutobi Shinnosuke to lead the others away.
  • Tamura Hiroshi challenged the Uzumaki guards for admitting Hiruzen Sarutobi’s son while stopping the Senju representatives, then imitated Senju Tobirama’s chakra to convince them to let him enter.
  • Tamura Hiroshi claimed to be a younger relative of Mito Uzumaki, gained the guards’ trust, and toured Uzushio Hidden Village, including its shrine of Death God Masks.
  • Masahiko Uzumaki confronted Tamura Hiroshi at the shrine and asked which Senju branch he belonged to.
  • Tamura Hiroshi revealed his white hair and imitated Senju Tobirama’s chakra, leaving Masahiko Uzumaki puzzled about how he had obtained it.

Ch. 32Yang Seal!

Tamura Hiroshi convinced Masahiko Uzumaki that he was Tobirama’s unfinished creation and persuaded him to let him take Kushina away from Uzushio Hidden Village. Masahiko revealed that Kushina had sent Tamura to obtain the Yang Seal, but he would not give it to him for free.

  • Tamura told Masahiko that Tobirama had created him during experiments to replicate Hashirama, and he used stories about Kushina and Tsunade to build Masahiko’s trust.
  • Tamura claimed Konoha’s leadership was isolating the Senju and that the Uzumaki clan needed to join them to survive the coming war.
  • Masahiko resisted Tamura’s pressure but agreed to let him take the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, as Kushina’s letter had already arranged it.
  • Tamura showed Masahiko the Sword of the Thunder God and asked for help improving his poor Chakra Quantity.
  • Masahiko explained that Kushina had sent Tamura for the Yang Seal, a simplified technique for storing Chakra, but said he would not give it away for nothing.

Ch. 33A Huge Haul

Tamura Hiroshi negotiated with Masahiko Uzumaki for the Uzumaki clan’s inheritance and resources, then left with scrolls and a girl as the village faced a looming war. Elsewhere, Dodai offered the clan a place in Kumogakure, but Uzumaki Ashina wanted greater proof of sincerity.

  • Masahiko Uzumaki agreed to let Tamura Hiroshi take two enormous scrolls of the clan’s legacy, and Tamura sealed away the Death God Masks.
  • Tamura Hiroshi knocked out the girl Masahiko had selected, changed her hair with the Transformation Jutsu, and carried her out toward Konoha.
  • Dodai showed Uzumaki Ashina the Four Great Shinobi Villages’ joint battle plan and invited the Uzumaki clan to join Kumogakure.
  • Uzumaki Ashina rejected the battle plan as insufficient and pressed Dodai for a more sincere offer.

Ch. 34Six Paths Ninja Tools

Dodai persuaded Uzumaki Ashina that Konoha might abandon the Uzumaki clan and offered Kumogakure’s protection, prompting Ashina to agree to fight alongside them before evacuating the children if necessary. Dodai then offered four sealed Six Paths Ninja Tools, and Ashina revealed that his clan knew their history well.

  • Dodai warned Uzumaki Ashina that Konoha might be preparing to destroy the Uzumaki clan and argued that Kumogakure was their only available refuge.
  • Dodai offered to take in underage, single Uzumaki clansmen, promised them equal treatment and safe roles, and rejected using them as Tailed Beast Jinchuriki.
  • Dodai said Kumogakure could provide one hundred jonin and one thousand chunin, with the Third joining the war at a critical moment.
  • Uzumaki Ashina agreed to fight with Kumogakure in the Land of Whirlpools, give Dodai Uzumaki sealing techniques, and send the children to Kumogakure if the clan lost.
  • Dodai asked about the Six Paths Ninja Tools and offered four sealed tools for the war if Ashina could break their seals.
  • Dodai unsealed a storage scroll, revealing hearts inside two nutrient cans.

Ch. 35The Treachery of Human Hearts

Uzumaki Ashina secured Kumogakure's alliance and the Bashosen as Uzushio Hidden Village faced an impending assault. Masahiko Uzumaki realized the Kumogakure boy had tricked him into giving away his granddaughter and the clan's treasures, but set his anger aside to plan for the coming battle.

  • Dodai gave Uzumaki Ashina Kinkaku and Ginkaku's preserved hearts, and Ashina used them to summon the four Six Paths Ninja Tools and claim the Bashosen.
  • Dodai left Uzushio Hidden Village with the other three tools, then learned that the boy and his companions had gone ahead with the young miss and hurried after them.
  • Uzumaki Ashina met with Masahiko Uzumaki and the four clan elders, who learned that Konoha's promised reinforcements would not arrive until the night after the enemy advanced.
  • Ashina revealed his secret negotiations with Kumogakure and demonstrated the Bashosen, convincing the elders that the alliance offered the clan a way to survive.
  • Masahiko realized the Kumogakure boy had deceived him into surrendering his granddaughter and the clan's treasures, then regained his composure and asked for the battle plan.

Ch. 36Befriending Lord Dodai

Uzumaki Ashina agreed to Kumogakure’s terms for protecting the clan’s escape route, while Tamura Hiroshi secured the Uzumaki girl and clan heritage. At the rendezvous, Kirigakure, Sunagakure, and Iwagakure excluded Kumogakure from their alliance, so Dodai left with his group as Chiyo prepared for the night’s operations.

  • Uzumaki Ashina told Masahiko Uzumaki and the elders that Kumogakure would help secure a sea evacuation route, in exchange for Uzumaki sealing techniques and the option to shelter the clan’s children and unmarried members.
  • Dodai met Tamura Hiroshi and learned that Hiroshi had obtained the Uzumaki clan’s scrolls and foundation, along with the designated Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, after bluffing his way through Uzushio Hidden Village.
  • Dodai sent trusted ANBU to carry the scrolls and girl back through a hidden tunnel, then ordered his remaining subordinates to keep Hiroshi from causing more trouble.
  • At the rendezvous, Hozuki Jagetsu, Chiyo, and Gari mocked Kumogakure and pressured Dodai’s group, while Rasa and Pakura recognized Tamura Hiroshi.
  • Dodai rejected the other factions’ attempt to exclude Kumogakure and led his group away; Chiyo dismissed his departure and prepared to proceed with the three-faction alliance that night.

Ch. 37The Poisonous Strategist Tamura

Tamura Hiroshi proposed exploiting Kirigakure’s internal division to strengthen Kumogakure while Dodai weighed the growing complications around the captured Uzumaki Kushina. The group also considered targeting Sarutobi Shinnosuke and the Monkey Clan as the war’s plans continued to take shape.

  • Tamura Hiroshi tricked and knocked out Uzumaki Kushina after she cursed him, while Dodai and the others discussed the risks her capture created.
  • Tamura Hiroshi advised Dodai to use Kirigakure’s factional conflict to help the Third Mizukage’s faction destroy rival clans and bring their surviving members into Kumogakure.
  • Tamura Hiroshi urged Yozuki A to marry a Kaguya clan kunoichi, and Yozuki A agreed to seek a wife himself.
  • Dodai noted that the plan to absorb the Uzumaki clan depended on Konoha’s attack and on severing the clan’s ties to Konoha.
  • Tamura Hiroshi proposed capturing Sarutobi Shinnosuke to obtain Konoha secrets and the Monkey Clan summoning contract, then using the contract to attack the Monkey Clan.

Ch. 38Madara Uchiha

Madara Uchiha and Black Zetsu ponder how to awaken the Rinnegan as the Uzumaki clan launches a surprise attack on the Kirigakure army. Kumogakure arrives at the battlefield, where a powerful Uzumaki assault traps and devastates the Kirigakure forces.

Ch. 39The Gaze of Black Zetsu

The Third Raikage and the Cloud Ninja Army joined the Uzumaki clan’s assault, overwhelming Kirigakure’s forces inside the Four Red Yang Formation. Tamura Hiroshi’s connection to the Kaguya Phantom drew Black Zetsu’s attention, while Tamura continued fighting and gathering Kaguya clan remains.

  • Uzumaki Ashina opened the Four Red Yang Formation’s gateway, and the Third Raikage led the Cloud Ninja Army into battle against Kirigakure.
  • The Third Raikage and his troops tore through the scattered Kirigakure Ninja Army, while the formation trapped and burned those who tried to escape.
  • Tamura Hiroshi linked with the Kaguya Phantom, alerting Black Zetsu, who sensed Mother’s aura in the young ninja and began watching him.
  • Tamura Hiroshi absorbed chakra from Kaguya ninjas and sealed their corpses into storage scrolls as Yozuki A and Fukai gathered remains nearby.
  • Fukai and Yozuki A let Tamura Hiroshi fight a young Kaguya ninja alone, and he used his blades and armor to withstand the opponent’s desperate attacks.

Ch. 40Greatsword Samehada

Tamura Hiroshi defeated a Kaguya fighter with Explosive Tags, then claimed Samehada as his next target while the Kumogakure-Uzumaki alliance crushed Kirigakure’s forces. As other villages prepared to unite against the alliance, Shimura Danzō set plans in motion to confront the Third Raikage and destroy Uzushio Hidden Village.

  • Tamura Hiroshi secretly planted Explosive Tags on the young Kaguya fighter and killed him in the blast.
  • Tamura Hiroshi spotted Samehada and asked Fukai to trade blades, while Yozuki A and Fukai moved to defeat its wielder, Suikazan Fuguki.
  • Yozuki A and Fukai overwhelmed Suikazan Fuguki, severing both his arms and knocking him unconscious.
  • The Third Raikage and the Uzumaki clan routed and wiped out nearly a thousand Kirigakure ninja, prompting Chiyo, her brother, and Gari to prepare a joint response.

  • Shimura Danzō led his forces toward the Third Raikage, intending to exploit his exhaustion and possibly kill him.

Ch. 41Blaming the Mizukage

Konoha, Sunagakure, and Iwagakure moved against Uzushio Hidden Village while the Uzumaki prepared to defend their home and evacuate the young. Meanwhile, Dodai and an Uzumaki Ashina Shadow Clone tricked Kirigakure’s ANBU into believing the Third Mizukage had orchestrated the recent battle, setting the stage for unrest in Kirigakure.

  • Chiyo ordered Sunagakure’s forces to attack Uzushio Hidden Village once Konoha and Kumogakure engaged, while Gari led Iwagakure’s army toward the village.
  • Uzumaki Masahiko ordered the children and women under thirty-five to escape through the tunnels, then rallied the remaining elders to defend Uzushio.
  • The Cloud Ninja Army prepared to face Shimura Danzō and Konoha’s forces at the Kirigakure camp.
  • Dodai and Uzumaki Ashina’s Shadow Clone gave a Kirigakure ANBU squad leader a Tailed Beast Sealing Technique and claimed it was part of the Third Mizukage’s plan.
  • The ANBU squad leader sailed back to Kirigakure, while a hidden Hozuki ninja overheard the conversation and left to warn his clan and the other clans against the Third Mizukage.

Ch. 42The Oriole Behind

Shimura Danzō used his hidden Sharingan to gain the upper hand against the Third Raikage while Konoha’s forces clashed with the Cloud Ninjas. As the Sand and Rock armies attacked Uzushio Hidden Village, Kō San unleashed a concealed insect poison and prepared explosive tags, but Cloud ANBU spotted him and moved to kill him.

  • Shimura Danzō revealed his Three Tomoe Sharingan and used it to enhance his Wind Style swordsmanship, wounding the Third Raikage.
  • Sarutobi and Shimura clan ninjas worked together against the Cloud Ninjas while two Cloud brothers watched Sarutobi Shinnosuke and Izumi Shimura.
  • The Sand and Rock armies charged into Uzushio Hidden Village, where Masahiko Uzumaki and four elders trapped them inside the Four Red Yang Formation.
  • Ebizo spread poison mist through the village as the Rock Ninjas used Earth Style to counter the Uzumaki barriers and Bashosen attacks.
  • Kō San released nano-sized venomous insects and prepared one hundred thousand Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags to destroy the village.
  • A Cloud ANBU team spotted Kō San and ordered a swift long-range attack to kill him.

Ch. 43Slaying Kage Level

Tamura Hiroshi foiled Hozuki Jagetsu’s attempt to assassinate Yozuki A and killed the wounded Kirigakure commander. After explaining his new ability to sense hostile intent, he was confronted by a red-haired girl who asked why he had his grand-aunt’s ability.

  • Tamura Hiroshi sensed Hozuki Jagetsu’s ambush and kicked Yozuki A and Fukai clear while bombarding the attacker with explosive tags.
  • Fukai pinned Hozuki Jagetsu with a lightning-infused sword, and Tamura Hiroshi’s explosive tags killed the badly wounded commander.
  • Dodai confirmed Hozuki Jagetsu’s identity and praised Tamura Hiroshi for saving Yozuki A and killing a Kage-level opponent.
  • Tamura Hiroshi told Dodai that fusing Kinkaku and Ginkaku’s chakra had given him the ability to sense intent within ten meters.
  • A red-haired girl emerged from behind a boulder and asked Tamura Hiroshi why he had her grand-aunt’s ability, and he complained that she had not been tied up.

Ch. 44Adamantine Sealing Chains

Tamura Hiroshi subdued Uzumaki Kushina and demonstrated that her Adamantine Sealing Chains could not suppress his chakra. Dodai then sent Tamura Hiroshi to use his Good-Evil Perception ability to identify threats within Kumogakure, and Tamura reported the people harboring malice.

  • Uzumaki Kushina attacked Tamura Hiroshi with her Adamantine Sealing Chains, but he grabbed them and electrocuted her with the Sword of the Thunder God.
  • Dodai stopped Tamura Hiroshi from continuing to torment Uzumaki Kushina, who demanded to know why he was not afraid of her chains.
  • Dodai asked Tamura Hiroshi to disguise himself as Yozuki A and identify people in Kumogakure with malicious intentions.
  • Dodai explained that Kumogakure would not intervene in Uzushio Hidden Village's war because it had to protect the evacuated Uzumaki clan members.
  • Tamura Hiroshi transformed into Yozuki A, assessed the village ninjas, and reported those harboring malice to Dodai.

Ch. 45Mantis Konoha

Uzumaki Ashina tried to end the battle against Sunagakure and Iwagakure with a forbidden soul-sealing jutsu, but Konoha’s hidden poison incapacitated all three armies first. As the enemy commanders agreed to a truce, explosive tags erupted across Uzushio Hidden Village, destroying the village and breaking the Four Red Yang Formation.

  • Uzumaki Ashina decided the Uzumaki clan had to defeat the Sand and Rock forces quickly and began forming a forbidden jutsu that would summon the Grim Reaper.
  • Masahika Uzumaki warned his second uncle, while Gari called Rōshi back from the fight as the Uzumaki elders prepared to cast the jutsu.
  • Uzumaki Ashina, Masahika, and fighters from all three armies suddenly collapsed after being poisoned, and Ashina accused Konoha of secretly using the Aburame clan’s insects.
  • Ebizo proposed a truce against Konoha, and Gari declared Iwagakure’s ceasefire as the poisoned armies struggled to survive.
  • Explosive tags appeared among the corpses and detonated throughout Uzushio Hidden Village, destroying buildings and causing the Four Red Yang Formation to shatter.

Ch. 46Danzō's Severed Arm

Rasa and Rōshi escaped the destruction of Uzushio Hidden Village while Gari stayed behind, and the Cloud forces trapped Shimura Danzō’s army inside a Five Elements Barrier. As the Konoha ninja faced slaughter, Sarutobi Shinnosuke summoned Enma and asked him to break the barrier.

  • Rasa escaped with Chiyo, Ebizo, and Pakura, while Karura remained behind in the burning village.
  • Gari ordered Rōshi to return to Ōnoki with news of the disaster, then staggered away as poisonous insects weakened him.
  • Dodai led the Cloud forces toward Uzushio Hidden Village as Tamura Hiroshi prepared Samehada to feed on the dead ninja’s Chakra.
  • The Third Raikage severed Shimura Danzō’s right arm and blocked the barrier’s exit while the Five Elements Barrier sealed the Konoha forces inside.
  • Sarutobi Shinnosuke swallowed a Secret Medicine, summoned Enma, and asked him to transform into the Adamantine Staff and break the barrier.

Ch. 47Adamantine Enma

Enma helped Sarutobi Shinnosuke escape the barrier, but the Third Raikage knocked him unconscious, and genjutsu users captured Enma and searched his memories. The Third Raikage’s forces revealed their victory was part of a larger plan, and Uzumaki Ashina’s Shadow Clone sealed the Sarutobi Clan names from the Monkey Clan’s summoning scroll.

  • Enma transformed into the Adamantine Staff and broke through the barrier, helping Sarutobi Shinnosuke send Izumi Shimura to Shimura Danzō before the Third Raikage kicked him away.
  • Shimura Danzō knocked Izumi Shimura unconscious and fled with her, while genjutsu-specialist twins used their implanted Three Tomoe Sharingan to capture Enma and probe his memories.
  • The Third Raikage revealed that he had feigned weakness, and Dodai’s Shadow Clone arranged medical treatment and prepared to publicly condemn Hiruzen Sarutobi.
  • The twins controlled Enma into summoning the Monkey Clan’s Contract Scroll and sent information from Enma’s memories to the Third Raikage and Uzumaki Ashina’s Shadow Clone.
  • Dodai persuaded Uzumaki Ashina’s Shadow Clone not to summon and kill Hiruzen Sarutobi, so the Shadow Clone used the Contract Seal to seal the Sarutobi Clan names from the scroll.

Ch. 48Little Fiancée

The Third Raikage slaughtered the Sarutobi Clan’s monkeys in their Summoning Realm while Tamura Hiroshi and the Kumogakure forces reached the ruins of Uzushio Hidden Village. The surviving Uzumaki elders betrothed Uzumaki Kushina to Tamura and showed him how to open their sealed scrolls before Masahiko Uzumaki died.

  • The Third Raikage used the twin brothers’ technique to enter the Monkey Clan’s Summoning Realm and began killing the monkeys.
  • Tamura Hiroshi arrived at Uzushio Hidden Village with the main force and had Dodai use a genjutsu ninja to control an injured youth and put the poison insects into dormancy.
  • Tamura Hiroshi and Uzumaki Kushina found Masahiko Uzumaki and Uzumaki Aloe near death inside a barrier, with poison insects ravaging their bodies.
  • Masahiko Uzumaki used an Adamantine Sealing Chain to pull Tamura Hiroshi close, but backed down when Tamura threatened to mistreat Kushina in the future.
  • Uzumaki Ashina declared Kushina Tamura’s fiancée, and Tamura accepted after learning the sealed scrolls could be opened only with Uzumaki sealing methods and Chakra.
  • Masahiko Uzumaki demonstrated the hand signs for opening the scrolls and warned Tamura that the wrong method would trigger the Explosive Tags inside.

Ch. 49Dying with Unseeing Eyes

After Uzushio Hidden Village was destroyed, Tamura Hiroshi promised to preserve the Uzumaki clan’s teachings and considered how Kumogakure could learn from the disaster. Yozuki A pursued the fleeing Iwagakure commander to obtain Earth Release techniques, while Hiroshi sensed someone hiding nearby.

  • Tamura Hiroshi sealed away the inherited teachings, and Masahiko Uzumaki and Uzumaki Ashina died as Uzumaki Kushina mourned.
  • Tamura Hiroshi knocked Kushina unconscious, and the returning Uzumaki clansmen grieved over the ruined village and blamed Konoha.
  • Tamura Hiroshi, Yozuki A, and Fukai discussed Kumogakure’s weaknesses as Samehada devoured chakra from the corpses.
  • Tamura Hiroshi urged Yozuki A to pursue the wounded Iwagakure commander and obtain his gravity-reducing or flight techniques; Fukai followed and sent a clone to inform Lord Dodai.
  • Tamura Hiroshi continued searching the bodies with Samehada, then raised it as a shield and threatened to throw an Explosive Tag at someone hiding in a nearby house.

Ch. 50Nephew Black Zetsu

Tamura Hiroshi used the Kaguya Phantom’s chakra to convince Black Zetsu that he was connected to Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, then questioned him about Kaguya and the chakra he absorbed. Black Zetsu explained Kaguya’s history and identified figures Tamura drew, while Tamura began asking about Jinchuriki.

  • Tamura Hiroshi mimicked Ōtsutsuki Kaguya’s maternal affection, causing Black Zetsu to call him “Mother” and believe he carried Kaguya’s chakra.
  • Tamura Hiroshi claimed Kaguya had appeared in his mind as his sister, and Black Zetsu explained that she was Ōtsutsuki Kaguya and demanded that he help rescue her.
  • Black Zetsu recounted Kaguya’s history and identified Tamura Hiroshi’s first drawing as Ōtsutsuki Isshiki and his second as Hagoromo.
  • Tamura Hiroshi asked Black Zetsu whether he knew about Jinchuriki like the First Hokage’s wife.
