Lu Chen followed Lu Jinnian to the Admissions Office.
As soon as they reached the entrance, Lu Chen spotted a slender figure at first glance, despite the crowd.
A pretty little girl stood outside the Admissions Office. Her delicate face was rosy and fair, and her soft, pink complexion looked like a ripe peach that seemed ready to burst with juice. Though her clothes were plain, they were spotlessly clean.
Her long black hair was braided into a scorpion braid that hung past her hips, swaying gently with her slightest movements. Her big, watery eyes shone with curiosity.
Looking at the little girl, Lu Chen thought to himself, This must be Xiao Wu!
Lu Jinnian noticed his grandson staring at the girl and silently wondered, Chen'er may be young, but he's quite mature. Could he have taken a liking to this little girl?
Lu Jinnian brought Lu Chen into the Admissions Office, where the teacher in charge of enrollment greeted him respectfully. "Dean Lu!"
Lu Jinnian nodded slightly, then pointed at Xiao Wu and said quietly, "Teacher Wang, let me see that little girl's file."
"Of course."
Teacher Wang quickly found Xiao Wu's file among a thick stack of papers and handed it to Lu Jinnian.

After reading Xiao Wu's file, Lu Jinnian instructed Teacher Wang, "This girl's parents have passed away. Waive all her fees at Nuoding Academy. I remember Dormitory One has an empty bed. Assign her there."

"Since I was the only one in Dormitory One, there's only one bed. But the teacher at the Admissions Office should bring another one over soon."
Xiao Wu nodded, put her uniform on Lu Chen's bed, then sat down on his bed and asked, "Lu Chen, what's your Martial Soul?"

Lu Chen sat in a chair, picked up a Soul Beast Compendium, and answered as he read. He didn't want to reveal his true Martial Soul.

Seeing how excited Xiao Wu was, Lu Chen knew she wouldn't give up until she got what she wanted. If he refused, he wouldn't be able to focus on finding a suitable Soul Beast, either.
"Come on!"
As soon as Lu Chen spoke, Xiao Wu bent her knees and sprang up. Her toes shot forward, aiming a kick at his chest.
Lu Chen reached out with his right hand and caught her ankle. "What? Want to keep going?"

Lu Chen released her ankle and blocked her attacks with both hands. Seeing her pull off such a difficult move, he thought, As expected of Xiao Wu. She can even manage a pose like that!
In the instant Lu Chen was distracted, Xiao Wu's freed right leg was already draped over his shoulder. Then she lifted her other leg and hooked it over his other shoulder.
Xiao Wu planted both palms on the floor. Her flexible legs acted like springs, flinging Lu Chen toward the bed!
Lu Chen landed on the bed, and Xiao Wu took the opportunity to straddle his waist. She pressed both hands against his shoulders and leaned over him.
"Do you give up? Hurry up and call me Sister Xiao Wu!"
Xiao Wu smiled at Lu Chen, looking as if victory were already hers.

With a loud WHUMP, it knocked Xiao Wu's hands off his shoulders.

As Xiao Wu lost her balance, Lu Chen grabbed both her hands and pinned her beneath him!

Just as Lu Chen was about to argue, Teacher Wang arrived at Dormitory One with a mattress and bedding. He saw Lu Chen and Xiao Wu in an intimate position.
Hearing the commotion, Lu Chen turned to look toward the door.
"Lu... Lu Chen, you two carry on!"
Teacher Wang set down the mattress and bedding, then hurried out of Dormitory One.
"Teacher Wang, you've got it wrong!"
Lu Chen realized that his and Xiao Wu's positions looked a little compromising. He hurriedly let go and chased after Teacher Wang, but he was already far away.
Lu Chen returned to Dormitory One and saw Xiao Wu happily making up her little bed. He scolded her, "This is all your fault! Teacher Wang is famous around the academy for being a Big Mouth. Now the whole academy will probably spread rumors about us!"
Xiao Wu didn't seem to care at all. "Why are you so worried? I'm a girl! If I don't care, what are you afraid of?"
Lu Chen chuckled and lay down on his own bed, wondering how he would explain everything tomorrow.
"Why is your bed so big?"
As she spoke, Xiao Wu pushed her bed right up against Lu Chen's. "Now it's fair!"
Xiao Wu placed her bundle between the two beds. "This is the boundary from now on. If you cross it, don't blame me for what happens!"
That night, Lu Chen watched in speechless disbelief as Xiao Wu sprawled across most of his bed, fast asleep. He thought to himself, Could this be the attraction between the Asura Demon Sword and the Sword Sheath?
