Background
Mu Xue was reborn with memories of her former life, in which she married Lu Shui. She later describes that marriage as the greatest fortune of her life. 82 299
At the beginning of the new timeline, she had ostensibly lost all cultivation for two years. The Mu Family continued to provide her resources and privileges because of her engagement to Lu Shui, while her father did not favor her and she regarded herself as little more than a marriage-alliance tool. She lived reclusively, focusing on cultivation rather than friendships or contact with outsiders. 22
Despite her public reputation as a cultivation-less commoner, Mu Xue retained an overwhelming, self-comprehended power: Primordial Qi. Lu Shui identifies it as an aura so heavy it could crush everything nearby. 26
She eventually realizes that Lu Shui has also been reborn and has concealed his Heaven and Earth Power under the identity of the ordinary Lu Family young master. Her investigation further leads her to identify his alternate identity, Liu Huo of the Hidden Heaven Sect. 299 302
Appearance
Mu Xue is a youthful woman with a calm, distant bearing and long flowing hair. She favors skirts, particularly long or immortal-style dresses, and is often described as exceptionally beautiful. 130 148 259
- Usually wears the purple-wood hairpin made for her by Lu Shui. 97 223
- Has worn a veil while acting as the Divine Lady. 223 376
- Her hair, clothing, and veil become violet when she manifests Primordial Violet Qi. 224
- Has also worn a knee-length skirt specifically because she wanted Lu Shui to see her in it. 259
Personality
Mu Xue is composed and reserved in public. Before joining the Lu Family, she avoided socializing, remained in her courtyard, and preferred cultivating alone. Even when her engagement and position in the Mu Family were threatened, she maintained her composure. 22
She is deeply affectionate toward Lu Shui, though she often conceals that affection behind politeness, teasing, and threats to hit him. She worries when he is in danger, secretly heals him, waits for his returns, and carefully chooses clothing or gifts with his preferences in mind. 47 53 191 259 426
Against enemies, Mu Xue is decisive and intimidating. She protects people she considers hers, but shows little patience for those who threaten her sect, family, or relationship with Lu Shui. 141 349 493
