Background

Wang Qi was reborn in the Douluo World after dying in a fire involving burning willow catkins during a picnic in his previous life. Retaining partial knowledge of the world’s plot, he regarded his low Level 3 Innate Soul Power as an obstacle that had to be overcome through opportunities, experimentation, and cultivation rather than accepted as fate 1 2.

After awakening his Martial Souls, he cultivated at a Nuoding City blacksmith shop because the furnace heat made his Soul Power more active. The arrangement became mutually profitable: his cultivation raised the furnace temperature, and the shop paid him a commission to meditate there 1.
