Background

Tang Hao was one of the Clear Sky Sect's greatest combat geniuses. His breakthrough battle into the Titled Douluo realm—where he fought three enemies alone and severely wounded Qian Xunji—established his reputation as the Clear Sky Douluo. His battle talent was considered exceptional even among Titled Douluo; Chen Xin judged his actual combat strength to surpass that of Tang Xiao despite Tang Xiao possessing higher Soul Power. 32 77 81

He was married to Ah Yin, a transformed soul beast, and fathered Tang San with her. After Ah Yin sacrificed herself following their exposure to Spirit Hall, Tang Hao did not pursue Qian Xunji to the death because he feared bringing disaster upon the Clear Sky Sect. He subsequently raised Tang San while living in despair. 33

Tang San's Martial Soul Evolution

Tang Hao first appears when he threatens Wang Qi into helping Tang San complete a Martial Soul transformation. Wang Qi turns the situation around by holding Tang San and Yu Xiaogang hostage, forcing Tang Hao to swear not to attack him unless provoked and never reveal the incident. 32 33

After the agreement, Tang Hao serves as Wang Qi's guide and protection during a month-long hunt in the Star Dou Great Forest, accepting seven-thousand-year Whale Rubber as payment. 36

Heaven Dou Auction Conflict

Tang Hao attacks the Heaven Dou auction to seize an Immortal Herb, descending with his Clear Sky Hammer and unleashing a devastating strike that injures everyone in the area. He kills two inferior Titled Douluo, threatens Yu Yuanzhen, and pursues the thief who escapes with the targeted Soul Tool. 81

He ultimately obtains the Wind Thunder Fruit and has Yu Xiaogang give it to Tang San, allowing Tang San's Soul Power to rise from level 25 to level 29 and altering the Clear Sky Hammer with lightning. 82

Decline and Clear Sky Sect Imprisonment

Tang Hao later battles Yu Yuanzhen again to prevent him from discovering Tang San and Xiao Wu. Though he wins, his accumulated injuries worsen so severely that his foundation is permanently damaged. 112
