Background / History

Origin and exile

The East Sea Dragon Clan did not originate in the Evil God World. It was driven from the Supreme Immortal Realm into this world, where it preserved resources from its descent and established formations beneath the East Sea to gather spiritual energy. Many of its upper ranks regarded the Evil God World as inferior to their original realm. 1159 1206

Roughly thirty million years before the present story, the East Sea Dragon Clan attacked Chaos Main City and nearly killed a Supreme Realm expert. The incident led Chaos Main City to impose a half-month outer-city stay, allowing the Spirit Gathering Mirror to verify whether visitors possess genuine bodies. 1120

The clan's original ambitions extended beyond ruling the Demon Race. Its elders sought to accumulate enough strength to overcome the Heavenly Dao of the Evil God World, conquer the world, and eventually return to the Supreme Immortal Realm. 1266

Ancient Secret Realm conflict

The clan entered the Ancient Secret Realm with its younger generation, including Long Jiangzuo, Long Qingran, Long Tianmiao, Long Weile, and Long Shuangxue. Its Supreme elders were notably protective of Dragon Clan bloodlines and could not enter the secret realm directly. 1146 1153

Long Weile and Long Shuangxue, dragon-and-phoenix twins born of the same mother, passed the Ancient Sword Spirit's Altar trial and obtained a sword item. Their linked hearts, powerful bodies, and Sword Body Secret Technique made them the Dragon Clan's foremost younger-generation hopes. 1165 1166

Long Jiangzuo's capture and dismemberment by Qin Jiuge, Fahai, and Lei Wuming escalated hostilities with the Human Race. Long Qingran and Long Tianmiao attempted to restore the clan's standing by rebuilding Heavenly Yao City and calling upon Long Weile and Long Shuangxue. 1152 1165

The destruction of Evil City allowed the Dragon Clan to claim a symbolic victory and temporarily recover some of its prestige within the Demon Race. 1174

True Person Long subsequently demanded revenge for his disciple's death. Long Qidao and Long Wuqing persuaded him to nurture a new disciple instead of immediately provoking full-scale war, warning that the Heavenly Dao favored the native Human Race and could refuse recognition to foreign Dragon Clan beings. 1179

Crystal Palace infiltration and war

Qin Jiuge infiltrated the clan through identities arranged by Long Qingran and Long Tianmiao, eventually entering the Crystal Guard and the Crystal Palace. The Dragon Crystal detected an intruder with an impure bloodline, prompting the elders to mobilize the younger generation and promise a Supreme Realm opportunity to whoever captured the infiltrator. 1195 1205 1209

Long Qingran and Long Tianmiao later surrendered to Qin Jiuge under Heavenly Dao contracts. He returned their physical bodies and assigned them to operate within the Dragon Clan on his behalf, making them covert agents of his Tian Xuan Faction. 1190 1195

The Human Race later breached the Dragon Clan's Clan Protection Array during the Heavenly Pride Grand Competition, devastated many subordinate races, and escaped through prepared Spatial Teleportation Arrays. Long Qidao, Long Wuqing, and True Person Long responded with a broad internal purge to expose traitors and spies. 1221 1222

The clan also faced attacks from within. Human Race spies were captured and executed, while Long Tianbao, the strongest Dragon Clan member below the Supreme Realm, was exposed as a traitor and killed after destroying the evidence within his own body and soul. 1234 1253

Long Qingran and Long Tianmiao used the purge to eliminate agents belonging to other Human Race factions while protecting their own connection to Qin Jiuge. Their apparent success earned the elders' approval and permission to attempt Great Luo Realm breakthroughs under their protection. 1234

Failed breakthrough and rising Supreme Realm strength

Long Weile's attempted breakthrough using the Supreme Immortal Embryo became the central objective of the Dragon Clan's defense. Qin Jiuge disrupted the process with Rootless Water, and the resulting crisis allowed the Human Race to attack the clan's Supreme Realm experts. 1245 1247 1248

Feng Jiuqing nevertheless broke through into the Supreme Realm, followed later by Long Qingran and Long Tianmiao. Although the Dragon Clan regarded them as loyal members, all three were secretly connected to Qin Jiuge's side. 1261 1266

The apparent increase in Supreme Realm strength led many Dragon Clan members to demand an immediate war against the Human Race. Long Qidao and True Person Long restrained them, arguing that the Heavenly Dao—not humanity—was the clan's true long-term enemy. 1266

The clan's selection and cultivation of young geniuses also prompted the Human Race to organize its own grand tournament, seeking another generation of Supreme Realm experts to counter the Dragon Clan's apparent expansion. Long Weile and Long Shuangxue supported Clairvoyant's opportunity to seek a Supreme Realm breakthrough. 1276

Feng Ming later successfully entered the Supreme Realm under the protection of the three Dragon Clan elders. They praised the breakthrough, supplied cultivation-stabilizing gifts, and regarded it as improving the prospects of their Heavenfall Formation. 1295

Collapse and concealed foundation

The clan's war with the Human Race eventually resulted in the deaths of its Supreme Realm elders and the apparent deaths of Long Weile and other powerful members. Long Shuangxue returned to the Crystal Palace and was urged by Long Jian, commander of the Heavenly Dragon Guard, to assume the Patriarch's position. 1334 1336

Before the final collapse, Long Weile and Long Shuangxue appeared with initial Supreme Realm cultivation and middle Supreme Realm combat power. Qin Jiuge countered their assault with hidden reinforcements, including Long Qingran and Long Tianmiao, while True Person Long attempted to force Qin Jiuge's surrender by taking Feng Jiuqing hostage. 1326

The destruction of the elders' and prodigies' soul tablets triggered panic and threatened internal power struggles. The Heavenly Dragon Guard could temporarily stabilize the clan, but could not open its treasury or reliably suppress affiliated-race Patriarchs whose cultivation also stood at the Half-step Supreme Realm. Long Jian therefore insisted that Long Shuangxue personally provide the clan's Supreme Realm leadership. 1334 1336

The apparent losses concealed a deeper contingency. The Dragon Clan's elders and Long Weile had cultivated the Soul-Splitting Divine Ability, leaving split souls in the Dragon Clan Forbidden Land before descending from the Supreme Immortal Realm. This allowed them to be revived. The ancestors had treated the clan's defeats as a means of tempering its younger generation, ensuring that the Dragon Clan benefited whether it won or lost. 1351

The clan's earlier attempt to concentrate the bloodline power of its Immortal Realm experts into Long Qingcang had ended disastrously. Intended to help him reach the Eclosion Realm, the experiment instead destroyed all the contributed Immortal Realm bloodline power and caused the Dragon Clan to fall from the status of a Demon Emperor race. 1415

Alliance with the Tian Xuan Faction

The Dragon Clan Ancestor first secured a contract with the Heavenly Dao recognizing the clan as members of the Evil God World. Long Shuangxue announced that the Dragon Clan would command the demons on behalf of the Demon Race and sought a deeper Heavenly Dao Equal Cooperation Pact with the Human Race. 1348

The Dragon Clan ultimately proposed cooperation with Qin Jiuge's Tian Xuan Faction. Its long-term plan was to reorganize the Evil God World's forces, return to the Supreme Immortal Realm, and allow the stronger side of the eventual combined force to become its main branch. The Dragon Clan Ancestor also revealed that the Evil God World itself was seeking to ascend into a greater world and was manipulating all competing factions. 1373

Qin Jiuge and the Dragon Clan Ancestor swore Heavenly Dao Oaths. The Dragon Clan then began settling in Heavenly Absolute City as the Tian Xuan Faction's declared eternal ally. 1374

Qin Jiuge was subsequently treated as a member and inheritor of the Dragon Clan, gaining access to privileges reserved for descendants, including a hidden entrance into the clan's Secret Realm. 1404 1405

World advancement and return to the Supreme Immortal Realm

Long Shuangxue used a silver token to open a spatial passage toward the Supreme Immortal Realm while Qin Jiuge guided the Evil God World's will through its advancement from an Intermediate World into a Great Thousand World. Once the gateway stabilized, she declared that the Dragon Clan could fully participate in the struggle for the Supreme Immortal Realm. 1383

She also warned the assembled factions to honor their previous agreements. Their origins had been branded by the Evil God World and its Heavenly Dao, making betrayal subject to devastating consequences unless a Quasi-Saint intervened. 1383

Restoration and integration

The Dragon Clan's ruins and resources from the Supreme Immortal Realm were transported back to the Evil God World, and a restored Dragon Clan main hall was established openly in the center of the world. This marked the clan's visible return after its apparent collapse. 1396

Qin Jiuge's marriage to Long Shilin became a public symbol of cooperation between the Dragon Clan and the Human Race. Heavenly Dragon Guard commanders supported the union as a necessary means of strengthening the clan after its return to the Supreme Immortal Realm. Human and Demon Alliance leaders declared opposition to the marriage an act of enmity against both alliances, while the Heavenly Dao manifested signs acknowledging the union. 1394 1395

The wedding gathered powerful guests at the restored main hall, including friends, enemies, and neutral factions. References to the Kunpeng Clan's predation threatened to disrupt the celebration, but the Dragon Clan Ancestor restrained the gathering through a formal appeal for respect, supported by Feng Wuya of the Heavenly Phoenix Clan. 1396

Qin Jiuge proposed integrating the Human and Dragon Clans through the mutual exchange of cultivation techniques, while preserving their distinct bloodlines and gradually merging their cultures and sense of belonging. The Dragon Clan Ancestor accepted the plan and agreed to use his authority to suppress opposition among the clan's higher ranks. 1400

The Dragon Clan Ancestor later arranged a secret alliance with the Ghost Fox Clan through Qin Jiuge's engagement to Gui Ling'er. Rather than repeat the desperate Long Qingcang experiment, the Dragon Clan adopted a gradual reconstruction strategy supported by the Ghost Fox Clan. 1415

Demon Alliance cooperation

Long Shilin arranged for the Evil God World to cooperate with the Demon Race, arguing that a newly integrated Great Thousand World needed the protection of a major power in the divided Supreme Immortal Realm. She favored the Demon Alliance's strength-based hierarchy as offering capable newcomers greater opportunities for rapid advancement, and the Dragon Clan Ancestor supported her leadership. 1413

Long Shilin and Gui Ling'er persuaded Qin Jiuge that assisting the disadvantaged Demon Alliance would be more valuable than joining the already-dominant Human Alliance. Renewed marriage alliance and cultivation support

By the preparations for Qin Jiuge's second marriage alliance with a Dragon Clan woman, some clan members still blamed him for their earlier decline. Their attitudes changed after his overwhelming strength, including his Immortal Realm cultivation, and his relationship with the clan were explained. The Human Alliance then offered astronomical betrothal gifts, cultivation resources, and substantial aid to the Heavenly Dragon Guard and other backbone forces. 1435 1436

Long Wuqing was again present as a Dragon Clan elder, demonstrating that his earlier wartime death had not permanently removed him from the clan.
