Sean Kruger was a three-hundred-year-old veteran who served in the Dark Angels Chapter. After being selected by the Inner Circle, he joined one of the Six Wings, the Ravenwing, and carried out numerous top-secret missions, including infiltration, investigation, and hunting Fallen Angels.

The lives of many Dark Angels were accompanied by secrets, and Sean was no exception.

He had once secretly infiltrated Armageddon and witnessed the brutal conclusion of the Ork War. He had also pretended to be captured by Aeldari Corsairs and endured cruel torture, all to discover the whereabouts of the Fallen Angels.

The Ravenwing differed from the other Inner Circle brothers. Most of their missions involved secrecy, and they often shouldered the responsibility of reconnaissance. Before the main force arrived, they searched for battlefield intelligence in crisis-ridden environments, creating favorable conditions for the Chapter's assault.

It could be said that every Ravenwing mission was a narrow escape from death!

But today's mission ranked among the most dangerous ones Sean had ever undertaken.

Dozens of Ravenwing warriors had traveled light, yet they had to find their scattered brother Chapters on land shrouded in Warp sorcery, relying on experience and instinct while facing Chaos encirclement that could appear at any moment!

After they broke through the encirclement, the cunning Chaos commander seemed to have noticed the Ravenwing's intentions and likewise sent out numerous reconnaissance squads to pursue them along their trail.

The already scattered Ravenwing had encountered one bloody battle after another. In the end, more than a dozen Chapter Brothers had been caught by Chaos reconnaissance squads while covering the others' retreat, their fates unknown.
