The golden figure who stepped out of the Teleportation Beacon nearly blinded Alvin.
He was incredibly tall and broad, far bigger than a Space Marine—even a Primaris Space Marine—and almost the equal of a Primarch.
He was clad head to toe in Adamantium Power Armor, crafted for him by the finest artisans in the entire universe. Its radiance shone like the sun, while the runes flowing across its surface seemed almost alive, symbols of "their" noble and awe-inspiring status.
Terra's Adeptus Custodes—or perhaps they could be called the Adeptus Custodes!
There were five of them. Just five.
And yet those "mere" five put more pressure on Alvin than hundreds of thousands of Daemons.
They wore golden helmets shaped like wings, their red crests streaming in the gale sweeping across the battlefield. Every rune painstakingly engraved upon their armor by Terra's artisans glimmered with the radiance of solar flares.
Their blood-red, sunken Auspex lenses stared lifelessly at "Angron," radiating a terrifying pressure that chilled the blood.
Then the five Custodians took a step forward. Their enormous, gleaming Guardian Spears blazed with light as bright as the sun, so dazzling it was impossible to look directly at them.
But at that moment, Alvin could only think... Holy shit, the Regent really is something. He brought five walking corn cans in one go?!
These were Custodians, not ordinary Space Marines you could find just about anywhere!
What were the Adeptus Custodes?
