At the mention of those three words, Suguru Geto's expression turned icy.

"Nanako, Mimiko, wait here for me. I have something to take care of."

With that, he slowly got to his feet and said to Toji, "Look after them for me. I'll be right back."

Toji Fushiguro glanced at Nanako and Mimiko.

His cold gaze and the scar at the corner of his mouth made him look rather menacing, and the two little girls shrank into a huddle in fright.

Tsumiki hurriedly stepped in front of them. "Dad! You scared them!"

Toji scratched his head in exasperation. "This is just how my face looks. There's nothing I can do about it!"

Several members of the Star Religious Group walked down the street, completely unaware that Suguru Geto was following them.

Before long, they arrived at the Star Religious Group's headquarters.

Under the spotlight, senior Star Religious Group official Shigeru Sonoda stood on the raised platform, delivering an impassioned speech.

Below him, a packed crowd of Star Religious Group members cheered and applauded as if they were high on drugs.

Hidden behind the crowd, Suguru Geto couldn't have cared less what these people were cheering about.

But watching the scene brought back a moment from the Star Plasma Vessel mission.

If Riko Amanai had really died, these people would probably have gathered around her corpse and applauded in celebration, wouldn't they?

Suguru Geto strode up onto the platform, then snatched the microphone from Sonoda as he stared in astonishment.

"Ahem! I just came up here to announce one thing: from this moment on, the Star Religious Group is officially disbanded. Who's in favor? Who's opposed?"

"I'm opposed!"

Shigeru Sonoda shouted angrily. "Who the hell are you? Who let you up here?"

"That guy's wearing Jujutsu High's uniform. He's a student there!"

"Jujutsu High students aren't allowed to attack non-sorcerers, are they?"

"Get out of here! This is our business. It has nothing to do with Jujutsu High!"

Countless curses and whispers surged toward him like a tide.

Suguru Geto scratched his ear and said expressionlessly, "If that's the case... Daruma!"

A giant Daruma doll suddenly dropped from above, crushing the completely unprepared Shigeru Sonoda into a bloody pulp.

Blood sprayed everywhere, instantly throwing the crowd into chaos.

"You... You actually killed a non-sorcerer! Aren't you afraid the Jujutsu Society will hunt you down?"

Suguru Geto paused. "You have a point!"

Just as everyone began to breathe a sigh of relief, Suguru Geto spoke again. "So I can't leave any witnesses!"

Her name was Manami Sugata, and the little boy with burn scars on his face was Rikyu Negi.

They were both Jujutsu Sorcerers whom the Star Religious Group had secretly trained.

The group had probably decided that hiring Jujutsu Sorcerers was simply too expensive. Even with all their money, they couldn't keep spending like that.

So they had come up with the idea of training their own fighters.

Manami Sugata's Cursed Technique was a fairly gentle healing technique called "Rejuvenation." It was similar to Reverse Cursed Technique, but not nearly as powerful.

Rikyu Negi's Cursed Technique, "Explosive Firefly," was a highly dangerous fire-based explosive attack.

An accident during training had not only badly burned his face but also injured several Star Religious Group officials, so they had locked him in the underground cage.

Manami, who was one of his own kind, had been the only person to take good care of him during this time.

Looking at Rikyu Negi, who was about the same age as Nanako and Mimiko, Suguru Geto kicked the cage apart.

"Those scum got off far too easy!"

Suguru Geto reached out, but Rikyu Negi shrank his neck in fear and kept scooting backward.

"Don't be afraid."

Suguru Geto rested a hand on Rikyu's head and ruffled his hair. Reverse Cursed Technique immediately healed the wounds all over his body.

The burns on his face had already healed in part, though the scars could no longer be erased.

"The Star Religious Group no longer exists. From now on, you two can come with me."

Manami and Rikyu exchanged a glance, then silently followed Suguru Geto.

Afterward, Suguru Geto swept through the entire Star Religious Group's headquarters.

He wasn't a greedy person, but he wasn't about to turn down money that came to him.

Besides, he had four kids to raise now. What was wrong with taking a little of the Star Religious Group's ill-gotten wealth?

Along with the valuables, Suguru Geto found some information about the Jujutsu Society. One stack of records about hired Jujutsu Sorcerers caught his attention.

"A special Cursed Tool capable of destroying Cursed Techniques: Black Rope."

Suguru Geto wasn't particularly interested in the two foreign Jujutsu Sorcerers, but the special Cursed Tool, Black Rope, seemed intriguing.

He remembered that Mimiko's Cursed Technique, "Rope-Bound Doll," would work well with Black Rope. He could consider getting one for his "second daughter."

Besides, Black Rope had the special property of "destroying Cursed Techniques." Perhaps it could even destroy the Limitless Cursed Technique. If so, he could give Sawa and Satoru a little shock.

(In the original work, Miguel and Larue were Jujutsu Sorcerers Suguru Geto recruited from overseas as helpers. But since Geto has no plans to stir up trouble here, those two characters won't appear.)
