"Since it's unknown, and we don't know whether it's good or bad, why does Death God Karl want to release it into the primary life plane of the Known Universe? Isn't that incredibly risky? What if the Void takes him out too..."
"That's why they call him a madman. I actually know a little about it. The collapse of the Shenhe Civilization was indeed caused by a mysterious energy field. Space and Karl discovered Void matter in the wake of that energy field, so he probably wanted to find out whether the Void had anything to do with the fall of Shenhe." He Xi stared at the sky. The term "Void" had loomed over the universe's wars for nearly ten thousand years. Whether it was the war between angels and demons, the civil war between the Denuo Civilization, the war with Lieyang, or the current war between the gods on Earth, they were all, at their core, caused by the Void.
"Once Queen Keisha went offline, Death God Karl would find a scapegoat to strike at the Angel Civilization. It would most likely be Hua Ye. Back then, wars were still fought head-on, and because Hua Ye's forces had concentrated resources, it was rare for our Female Angels to live past a thousand years. Our fighting strength was also very low."
"There was a warrior under Hua Ye named... Su... Sumali, that's right, Sumali. Back then, he took a blade and hacked through my warriors. In just a few minutes, thousands of them fell before my eyes."
"Afterward, we carried out extensive research and manufacturing on these Dark Silver weapons, creating Keisha's Armory. Because they were composite weapons with tremendous destructive power, Keisha locked them away in her armory. No one was allowed to use them without her orders."
"These weapons were so destructive that, if they got out, they could deal a devastating blow to the other civilizations in the universe. But as the ages passed, God-Slaying Weapons, Void Weapons, and even Little Star's King-level Engine Void God-Slayer Martial were developed. They could often strike directly at the conceptual level, so Holy Keisha's Armory no longer carried the same deterrent power it once had."
"Even so, these weapons are still ahead of their time. Ordinary God-Slaying Weapons are inferior to Dark Silver weapons, while low-grade Void Weapons are about on par with Quasi-King-level Dark Silver weapons. The Silver Wings, for example, are Dark Silver weapons, but their destructive power is no less than that of God-Slaying Weapons and Void Weapons."
"You won't be able to use the armory until you've earned my full approval. But you still need the basic King-level equipment. The Royal Decree was Keisha's sword. That'll do."
"Now that you're a King, go do what you want and fight the wars you want. As for that Enixide, Keisha took Little Star's advice. When you two have time, go to Freyzer and bring her here. She can start out as a basic Angel Warrior. Whether she can become the next King of Angels will depend on her abilities."
The next day, just as dawn broke, the main force set out. The place was less than five hundred kilometers from the coastal battlefield, after all, and the enemy could attack at any moment. They had to head inland as quickly as possible.
"At this rate, you'll take far too long to move. If one or two Taotie squads show up along the way, they could wipe you all out. Didn't you establish something called the Black Great Wall? Have you not developed any well-armored vehicles? If you used Dark Iron and solar energy, the Taotie's conventional weapons wouldn't be able to hurt your retreating forces."
"Xinyue, forget it. This is Earth's business, and it has little to do with the angels. Besides, Earth has next to nothing right now. They had to borrow what little Dark Iron they have from Lieyang. They'd never use it on something so unimportant. This kind of manufacturing project will have to wait until Galaxy Power, Ge Xiaolun, upgrades to a Third Generation God Body and gets a Void Controller before it can be widely implemented."
He cut Xinyue off. He could tell that Qiangwei was unhappy, but what he said was true. There was no way Lian Feng could manufacture vehicles of that caliber. In a war between gods, mortals were just pitiful sacrifices.
"If nothing unexpected happens, we'll reach Huangshi City today. Once we get there and settle the people in, I'll take you to find Lena and Ge Xiaolun."
"Prince, I contacted Zhixin last night. She, her Male God Zhao Xin, and Ge Xiaolun are all on their way to North Star. Also, there's a problem with her Angel Gene. Should we go meet up with them first? Without her Angel Gene, she'll be in danger. If they happen to run into a powerful enemy..."
"If they're on their way to North Star, then there's no problem. We'll get them to Huangshi City first, then go find Pan Zhen. We'll take a few things from him and then go find Zhixin. Tell our people in Tianhe City to meet up with Zhixin and head to North Star together. Angel Zhixin will take command for now." Since they were all in North Star, that made things easy. The timing would work out perfectly if they went to see Pan Zhen, robbed him, and then went to find them.
"You're so eager to find Pan Zhen because you want to rob him, right? Why not bring your big sister along? I'm good at robbing people. Lieyang's loaded—we can split the spoils, how about it?" Liangbing fluttered her eyes at Su Xinghe. She'd already decided to groom Qiangwei as the next leader of the Demon Legion, which meant she had to upgrade her to a Third Generation God Body and then a Fourth Generation God Body. That would take resources.
Aside from the angels and Death God Karl, Lieyang was the richest civilization in the universe. Since Su Xinghe was going to rob them, she had every reason to tag along and claim a share.
"Your demons really are poor. Whether he gives us anything is up to him. After all, he'd still have a thirty percent chance of winning if he fought you. Lieyang's only good at one thing: blowing up stars. He can blow up whatever else he wants, I don't care. But if he's cooperating with Death God Karl for his own gain, then he deserves to die. If I weren't trying to avoid an all-out fight with Lieyang, this would be about a lot more than just taking some resources."
"Lieyang is working with Death God Karl? That can't be right. They don't interfere in these things. When it comes to the Void, Lieyang neither researches it nor opposes it. They're focused on peace and prosperity. In some ways, Lieyang has always had a better relationship with us angels." Xinyue and Angel Leng were both shocked. Lieyang cooperating with Death God Karl was no small matter. There were only four God-level Civilizations openly acknowledged at the moment: Death God Karl of the Underworld, the Demon Legion, Lieyang, and the angels.
The angels and demons had called a temporary truce, but the demons had limited resources. Lieyang was different: a true God-level Civilization with six thousand years of history. If they worked with Death God Karl, it meant the angels would face even greater pressure in the future.
"Obviously. Why do you think Morgana was able to invade Lena's genetic sequence and control her so easily? It was because Lieyang let her."
"They deliberately let the demons control Lena and trigger a supernova, taking Holy Keisha offline. Then they worked together to manipulate a star into collapsing and forming a black hole, helping Death God Karl obtain Void matter."
"They've openly declared war on the Angel Civilization! Your Highness, the Prince, Xinyue requests permission to kill the Lieyang Star people on Earth!" Xinyue's face was full of anger. Though they had reservations about Holy Keisha's Order of Justice, they still respected her deeply. After all, during the Heavenly Palace Era, the Three Kings had led them to defeat Hua Ye and usher in a new dawn.
"Don't get worked up. We have to take things one step at a time. Our greatest enemies right now are the Triangular Body, the Beast Body, and Hua Ye. We'll deal with Lieyang Civilization after we've taken care of them." Su Xinghe rejected Xinyue's request. Without Holy Keisha, the angels no longer had the strength to wage war against so many advanced civilizations at once. Even if they won, they'd suffer devastating losses.
