Every time she saw two outfits with similar styles, she thought they looked like couple clothes. It was all Ashe's fault. Ever since Ashe arrived, Rose had been overthinking things every day.

Ashe had no idea she'd somehow been saddled with the blame.

Rose forced herself to clear her mind. She casually tossed the book in her hand into a wormhole.

She should just focus on carrying out the plan with Ashe first. Rose made up her mind.

She stood and called out to Ge Xiaolun, who was still looking around.

"Hey! New guy, over here!"

She waved, then turned and walked away without checking whether Ge Xiaolun had seen her.

Ge Xiaolun noticed Rose, dressed in her fresh new outfit, and saw that she had a different air about her than before.

He was even more delighted. Grinning, he hurried after her.

Like Ashe, Rose didn't plan to strike up a conversation with Ge Xiaolun, even though they had a plan.

She stuck to the principle that the fewer words they exchanged, the better.

As she walked, Rose gave him a concise introduction to Super Seminary's basic facilities and situation,

fulfilling her duty while doing her best to ignore the gaze Ge Xiaolun kept directing at her.

"Let's get you settled in first. This way!"

Ge Xiaolun followed behind Rose, barely retaining anything she said.

His mind was full of thoughts about the wonderful life ahead, being tutored by Ashe and Rose together.

It wasn't until Rose told him where he'd be staying that Ge Xiaolun finally snapped back to attention.

After all, this was about his happy future. How could he not listen carefully?

"Hey, um, are you and your roommate Ashe staying next door to me?"

He made a point of mentioning Ashe. Ge Xiaolun couldn't stop thinking about either Ashe or Rose.

"A guy in black? There are plenty of guys in black. Go find him and get him to make it happen for you!"

Ge Xiaolun could hear the sarcasm in Rose's voice. His brain finally came back online, and he snapped out of the fantasies he'd been lost in for the past two days!

His voice grew much more anxious.

Ge Xiaolun protested, "No, you're messing with me! You're in on it!"

A throwing knife appeared out of nowhere and struck the ground beside Ge Xiaolun's foot. Rose decided not to follow Ashe's script.

She was going to do things her own way!

"In on it? Messing with you? Do you think I'd bother?"

"Huh?" Ge Xiaolun had never expected Rose to turn the question back on him.

He'd just put himself in the victim's shoes, but now he came back to his senses!

"No, you said..."

"We said it!" Rose cut him off. "Think about it. Were the conditions they offered you when they recruited you even remotely plausible?"

"Beautiful girls next door! Tutoring from two people! Helping each other out! Does that sound like a legitimate place's recruitment pitch?"

"Does that sound real to you?"

"No, you said it, and you even showed me proof...!"

Ge Xiaolun had just opened his mouth to defend the impulsive decision he'd made when Rose replied.

"We said it, and we even showed you proof! But did you ever think about it? This is an extremely legitimate place! A place that trains soldiers to defend their country!"

"Would it train you according to the conditions that guy used to fool you? Is that how you train soldiers? That's how you turn them into useless dead weight! You don't get it?"

"I... I just..." Rose's words had thoroughly brought Ge Xiaolun to his senses. Of course he knew those conditions didn't make sense.

"no girl will like you! Not one! Unless she falls from the sky and throws herself at you, like an angel!"
