Rose's Outburst! Ge Xiaolun's Thoughts!

He vented all the resentment in his heart in one breath.

Rose looked at Ge Xiaolun standing before her, utterly at a loss after being berated by her.

People always feared the unknown. Even though she had known since childhood that aliens existed in outer space,

even though she knew she would face a war to protect the Earth in the future, and was willing to give everything for it to protect the land she loved,

Rose had always felt a faint unease in her heart. She did not know whether she could protect everything she wanted to protect, or whether the wormholes and flying knives she had played with since childhood could safeguard what she loved.

And after learning that war was unavoidable, and that her teammates were a group who had never received any training at all,

merely supervisors listed on a roster—one could even say they were just a bunch of misfits—

the unease in Rose's heart kept growing.

It was not until Ashe's sudden appearance, her powerful strength, decisive combat ability, and immense potential for the future

that Rose finally had someone she felt she could trust, someone reliable.

But that was all it was.

Deep down, Rose still desperately hoped training would begin soon, and that she could prove her strength.

She hoped she could truly protect the nation.

That was also why, when Ajie used her and Ashe to fool Ge Xiaolun into joining Super Seminary,

she had not reacted at all, merely mocking him verbally a couple of times. That was one of the reasons.

The two exchanged a glance, then quickly looked away.

Watching Ge Xiaolun lower his head, Rose regained her usual coldness and seriousness after her excitement.

"Forget it. I went too far."
