"Creak, creak..."

A light breeze blew against the half-open door, making it creak repeatedly, as if it hadn't been maintained in ages.

When Ajie reached the dorm room Rose had told him to come to, he heard the door creaking and furrowed his brow.

But he paid it no mind.

He pushed the door open without hesitation and went inside.

He instinctively looked around, but didn't see the familiar flash of red.

"Rose! Rose! Where are you?"

After calling out twice, Ajie stepped farther into the room.

Just then, a gust of wind swept in.

With a bang, the dorm room door slammed shut.

Ajie turned around and looked at the tightly shut door.

He shook his head. "This lousy door needs fixing."

He decided to report it to the school maintenance department later. As he walked toward the empty bed, he continued muttering, "Seriously, where is Rose?"

"Where'd that girl go?" He sat down on the bed and looked around again.

"Hm?" His gaze landed on the bathroom door not far away.

Ajie narrowed his eyes.

Had that door been closed just now?

"Rose, are you in the bathroom?"

He called out and stood up.

"Quit messing around and come out. I'll put the stuff in your cart for you, then leave."

He looked toward the bathroom.

But it seemed as if there was no one inside.

Ajie's voice was the only sound echoing through the room.

"Honestly, if you don't come out, I'm leaving."

He took out his phone and called Rose, but her familiar ringtone sounded from outside the door.

Looking toward the entrance, Ajie smiled and shook his head. "Heh, trying that trick on me?"

He strode over to the dorm room door and placed his hand on the handle, applying a little pressure.

But it was as if the door had never been meant to open. No matter how hard Ajie tried, the handle wouldn't budge.

"Huh, that's weird."

Rose's phone kept ringing outside. He looked at her name on his screen.

Ajie called out toward the door, "Rose, quit messing around and open up!"

He pounded on the door while the call continued, and Rose's ringtone still sounded from outside.

Apart from those sounds, the only thing in the room was Ajie calling out.

Just then, a faint creak sounded.

Ajie whipped around. The bathroom door, which had been firmly shut just a moment ago, had opened a tiny crack.

Just as Ajie was about to react, it was as if all the light in the room had been cut off. His vision went black.

He pressed the light switch, but nothing happened. Only a thin crack in the bathroom door remained, and a faint purple glow seeped through it.

The strange surroundings didn't faze him at all. Seeing this, Ajie realized Rose and someone else had teamed up to set him up.

He grinned and spread his arms in a playful shrug.

"Honestly, you're still such a kid. You think this is enough to scare Big Bro Ajie? That's so childish."

"Okay, whoever's in the bathroom—Ashe or Rose—come out. Aren't you getting bored?"

He shouted toward the bathroom, but no sound answered him.

"Forget it. I'm done playing along."

Ajie shook his head and strode toward the bathroom.

The moment he touched the bathroom door,

a barely audible whoosh came from behind him.

He jerked his head aside and dodged. He only caught a glimpse of a fist striking the door.

He was just about to turn and counterattack

when a window suddenly appeared on the bathroom door in front of him.

With a loud bang, a large restraining net swiftly wrapped around Ajie.

Ajie tried to react, but the fist that had just struck came at him again.

It rained blows down on him.

Accompanied by a tingling sensation, Ajie felt as if he'd been zapped.

The pain was secondary; the strange sensation made it impossible for him to control his voice.
