Dukao was formerly a general—and later identified as the supreme military commander—of the Denuo Civilization. He was associated with the Denuo–De Star war ten thousand years earlier, a conflict that escalated beyond control and contributed heavily to Denuo’s downfall. His role in that war earned him the reputation of a “War Maniac.” 38 40

After Denuo disappeared, Dukao led surviving members through space in search of a new home.
