Background

Kakashi first met Shimura Kazashiro when Sakumo brought the latter to the Hatake home. Though initially reluctant to spend time with him, Kakashi shook Kazashiro’s hand and took him through Konoha at Sakumo’s request. He answered the younger boy’s questions during the tour and brought him to his private mountain training site. 3 4

Even as a child, Kakashi trained through single-handed rock climbing on a steep peak. His diligence impressed Kazashiro, who noted the calluses on his hands and regarded him as a hardworking genius. 3 4
