Background / History

Obito was raised by his grandmother after his parents, Uchiha warriors, died for the clan. As a child, he was ostracized by fellow Uchiha, who derided his ambition to become Hokage and his belief in the Will of Fire. Kazashiro and Kakashi intervened when Uchiha Yaowan and his companions beat him, though the Military Police initially arrested Obito after Yaosi falsely blamed him for the conflict. Fugaku later cleared Obito of responsibility. 13 14 21

Danzo publicly revealed himself as Obito’s biological father during the dispute with Fugaku, leaving Obito shocked and confused. The revelation forced Fugaku to confront the mistreatment Obito had received within the clan. 16

Obito became close with Kazashiro and Kakashi, but initially lagged behind them in combat ability. His determination to stop relying on Kazashiro led to the awakening of his Sharingan under Jiraiya’s guidance.
