Background / History

Azhui was searching the Chi Wu Star System star by star when Su Bai's Diary Instance appeared in her possession. After receiving it, she connected Queen Keisha's earlier order—“Juxia City, Qilin, Su Bai”—with the diary's warnings about a Taotie attack on Earth. She returned to Earth, located Qilin with the Eye of Insight, and detected an unanalyzable figure beside her that she believed to be Su Bai. 10 13

When Su Bai requested her help locating the Taotie near Pluto, Azhui consulted Keisha. Keisha authorized the mission, instructed her to observe Su Bai carefully, and warned that he could become either the Angels' future or their doom. 15

Azhui arrived at Qilin's home and met Su Bai in person. Their first exchange became awkward when Su Bai fixated on her swept-back hairstyle and called it a “pompadour”; Azhui became visibly embarrassed but maintained her professional composure. 16

Before departing for Pluto, she assessed Su Bai's ability to survive and fight in space, as well as his intended policy toward the Taotie. Their differing approaches caused an argument: Azhui favored clarifying objectives and contingencies, while Su Bai viewed the Taotie simply as enemies to eliminate. She later admitted that she had overcomplicated the issue and apologized. 16 17

Azhui flew Su Bai to Pluto's orbit, taking his hand because he lacked wings and easing their ascent for his comfort. From behind a meteorite, she watched Su Bai annihilate the Taotie vanguard fleet with Eternal Silence Wheel Yu. The scale and precision of the technique left her deeply shaken and increasingly curious about Su Bai's identity before his memory loss. 18 20

After returning to Earth, Azhui accepted Qilin's invitation to join her and Su Bai at Snack Street. She later continued working alongside Yan as part of the Angels' effort to observe and guide Su Bai. 21 25 28

Azhui is a blonde angel with pure white wings and a luminous armored appearance that Qilin finds unearthly and awe-inspiring. 15 21

However, she can be emotionally reactive when criticized—especially when Su Bai repeatedly calls her unintelligent or mocks her hairstyle. Around Su Bai, Azhui shows a gentle and considerate side. She slows her flight for him, offers help against the Taotie fleet, and remains attentive when he becomes tired on the return journey. 18 20 22
