Background / History
You Ruo inherited the Dragon God’s elemental divine power as one of its incarnations. Severely wounded in a battle in the God Realm, she withdrew to the bottom of the Lake of Life, where her condition continued to worsen 7. She later chose to seal her memories, take human form, and enter a human soul academy to better understand humanity 88.
When Lin Chen’s diary reached her, she initially tried to destroy it. Finding that its laws prevented this, she read its predictions instead. The prospect of Tang San and Qian Renxue becoming gods alarmed her because of what it could mean for the Soul Beast clan. She sent Ling Tian to observe Tang San without harming or alerting him 5.
After the diary exposed her hiding place and injuries, You Ruo ordered Di Tian to protect Lin Chen and bring him to the Lake of Life when the time was right. Di Tian subsequently intervened when Ling Yuan threatened him 7 10.
