Background / History

Zhu Zhuyun was once Zhu Zhuqing's “beloved older sister,” but she ostracized and suppressed Zhuqing and sent people to hunt her down. Zhuqing fled the Star Luo Empire and ultimately survived the pursuit. 4 306

During the Soul Master Tournament finals, Zhuyun derided Zhuqing as “useless” and dismissed Dai Mubai's prospects without her, unaware of how far her younger sister had grown. 208 She remained confident that the Star Luo side could defeat the Martial Soul Hall team, but was confronted when Zhuqing announced that she alone would face both opposing teams. 216

After the tournament, Zhuyun trained relentlessly, refusing herself rest as she attempted to close the widening gap between herself and Zhuqing. The effort only made her more aware that Zhuqing had become unreachable. 305

When Zhuqing returned to the Zhu family estate, Zhuyun was shocked by her appearance. Pressured into confronting their past, she admitted to having orchestrated the persecution against Zhuqing, then broke down over Zhuqing's return and overwhelming strength. 305 306

Personality

Zhuyun initially presents herself as scornful and self-assured, casually belittling Zhuqing and treating her as an insignificant obstacle. 208 216

Her later actions reveal intense anxiety and competitiveness. She trains obsessively in an effort to catch Zhuqing, but the perceived impossibility of doing so turns that drive into despair. 305

When confronted with her role in Zhuqing's suffering, Zhuyun responds first with denial, then with a desperate confession and resentment at being surpassed by the sister she once targeted. 306
