Anse sank his consciousness into his mind. The D20 floated silently there, its sixteenth symbol now fully illuminated.

He did not immediately choose an Adventure Trait. Instead, he focused on the three strands of divinity.

More precisely, there were four strands. The vessel of the "Blessing of the Platinum" was also a strand of divinity belonging to Bahamut, the Platinum Dragon God.

As its master, the "Blessing of the Platinum" firmly suppressed the three strands of divinity within the Dice. One came from Gruumsh, while the other two came from Bane.

He examined the two strands of divinity he had just acquired. The one from Emmanuel was the weakest, capable of being converted into only twenty-seven thousand experience points.

"So he really was abandoned."

Chosen of God were tools and vessels through which deities absorbed and transformed faith. Though they all fused with divinity, their development differed greatly.

Some Chosen of God faithfully carried out divine revelations and continuously received Divine Favor, causing their divinity to grow stronger.

Others could only serve as disposable tools. Their divinity grew extremely slowly, and even what little they gained could be taken away by their deity.

The strand from Gruumsh could be converted into one hundred and seventy thousand experience points, while the divinity obtained from Saier exceeded two hundred thousand. Both were far greater than Emmanuel's.

Experience was merely a byproduct of breaking down divinity. The truly valuable things were Lifespan, as well as certain mysterious energies that only the Dice could digest.

The Dice did not even care for Spirit Coins, yet it liked divinity.
