Starlight Body did not seem especially useful. It only projected him into the Astral Plane for travel and adventure across planes.

But Astral Projection took an hour to cast each time, and if the Silver Cord was severed, both his real body and astral body would die.

Starlight Body offered more room for error. It could conceal the Silver Cord, and severing it would not kill him.

Sounds fun. He thought the ability was pretty good.

Entering the Astral Plane in his real body was too dangerous. Starlight Body would make it much safer.

In fact, Astral Projection was already quite safe, because weapons capable of severing the Silver Cord were exceedingly rare.

The most common threats were the Astral Plane's psychic storms, the Silver Swords of Githyanki Knights, and astral creatures like the Astral Leviathan.

Psychic storms were not physical winds. They were storms that assaulted travelers' minds, formed from lost memories, forgotten thoughts, fleeting musings, and subconscious fears. They were extremely dangerous.

Silver Swords were as famous as the Githyanki Knights who wielded them. Known as Gith Holy Blades, they were not physically forged but manifested through psionic rituals and force of will.

But there were not many Gith Holy Blades.

I should be able to use one too.
