Not far from Marineford, aboard the Red Force, Shanks stared blankly at the live broadcast.

Whitebeard had failed, just as expected.

But the price had been far more severe than he had anticipated.

Before the entire world, the Marines had broken their backbone. Countless pirates had laid down their weapons and surrendered to avoid death. With this scene exposed to the world, there would no longer be any room for a group called the "Whitebeard Pirates" to survive.
