On the deck, Momonga stared at Ron in shock.
He had taken the brunt of that powerful surge of Haki and suffered the most from it. That also made him the one who understood best that there was something different about the power within it.
Unlike ordinary Conqueror's Haki, it had not struck with overwhelming force. The vast wave of Haki had swept across Marineford, yet not a single person had passed out.
Those who were weak or lacked resolve had merely slumped to the ground, or fallen to their knees with vacant eyes.
No one had lost consciousness from the impact, but everyone had felt an urge to bow down in reverence.
Conqueror's Haki like this was unheard of!
Ron stepped out of the cabin. At the question, he paused, then smiled. "Nothing. I just figured something out."
"Oh? It must have been important, then."
Momonga raised an eyebrow and gave him a displeased look.
Momonga had been Ron's instructor during his recruit assessment, and the two had remained close after Ron graduated. Naturally, he was not satisfied with such a brush-off.
Ron smiled, took out a cigar, and lit it for Momonga.
"Don't be so petty, Senior Momonga! I don't know how to explain it... All I can say is that I figured out who I am and what I should do at this turning point in a chaotic age."

"Figuring that out is impressive enough."
