With the mystery Aokiji had left behind solved, everyone rallied their spirits and began gathering every scrap of information related to Poseidon, hoping to uncover the truth.
The Five Elders turned a blind eye to it. After all, times had changed, and Poseidon had already appeared. If they could find some targeted method of dealing with her, that would actually be good news for them.

"Jinbe? What made you think to call me?"
Ron held the Den Den Mushi with a puzzled frown.
Ever since Aokiji had been severely injured, Jinbe had firmly believed Shirahoshi must have had her reasons. Ignoring all opposition, he had set out to sea to search for her.
Considering both his racial gifts as a Fish-Man and the strength and reputation of the Knight of the Sea, Akainu had not voiced much objection. He had merely told Jinbe not to act rashly before letting him go.
Now that Jinbe was calling him, Ron found it strange no matter how he thought about it.
If anyone should have received this call, it should have been Akainu.
Jinbe spoke urgently. "Sorry to disturb you, but I thought only the Azure Dragon Admiral could get here quickly enough."
As he spoke, Jinbe cautiously poked his head out and looked toward the busy figures on the beach outside, all dressed in diving suits.
"I found a Poneglyph on the seafloor, but another group has their eyes on it too. Their weapons are dangerous, and they've even kidnapped ordinary people to work for them. I don't dare act rashly."
"A Poneglyph?!"
Ron's eyes widened in shock. Then he remembered that something like this had happened in the original story as well.
