Marine Headquarters, Admiral's Office.
"Hello! Jinbe? Can you hear me? Hello?!"
After only a few words, the Den Den Mushi suddenly went "POI" and drooped its head, falling asleep.
This meant the call on the other end had been disconnected, but considering the explosion at the end, Ron was more inclined to believe that Jinbe had been attacked and the Den Den Mushi had been damaged in the blast.
"This is troublesome!"
Frowning silently, Ron turned and grabbed the cape from the coat rack. Sky Net activated, sending his voice directly into Akainu's ear.
"Fleet Admiral, something major has happened."
Akainu, who had been handling documents in his office, froze at the words. He waved for the soldiers assisting him to leave, then asked, "What major event?"
"Jinbe found a Poneglyph, but someone got there before him. Then they encountered an attack from an unknown force, and contact has now been lost."
Whoosh!
A current flashed through the air as Ron appeared before Akainu. With the Thunder Dragon Halberd strapped to his back, Ron adjusted the Seastone Sleeve Dart on his arm as he explained the situation, then said,
"Give me Jinbe's Vivre Card, Fleet Admiral. I'll go see what's happening."
"A Poneglyph...?"
Akainu's voice caught. He nodded. "Understood."
No matter how much discord existed between them and the Government, Poneglyphs were always taboo.
At that moment, the Den Den Mushi rang again. Ron and Akainu exchanged a glance, and Ron reached into his clothes to pull out his private Den Den Mushi.
"Hello, is that Jinbe?"
"Cough, cough... Azure Dragon Admiral, something is terribly wrong!!"
"You already said that just now! Stop panicking and explain yourself clearly!"
Ron was covered in black lines. Jinbe usually seemed dependable, so why was he talking so much nonsense at a critical moment?
