The RV's First Journey

The inside of the RV was more or less as the Intelligent AI had described—if anything, it looked even better in person.

From the front of the vehicle to the back, it was about five meters long.

In order, there was the driver's cab, a rest area, a kitchen, a bathroom, and the bedroom at the very rear. There was also a folding ladder that could be used to climb onto the roof of the RV.

The space was not exactly large, yet everything was arranged with neat precision, fitting in every function it needed.

Compared to Lin Qiye's calm appreciation, Tian Nina was far more excited, curious about everything inside the vehicle.

In the lounge, she unfolded a folding chair and sat down, praising it. "Wow, this design saves so much space. No wonder it feels roomy."

She checked every piece of equipment in the kitchen one by one. "Can we cook in the vehicle tonight?"

She even inspected the bathroom carefully, and would also glance at the bedroom every now and then as if by accident.

But how exactly were they supposed to drive it out?

Lin Qiye could have searched for the answer on his phone, but out of habit, he touched his Bluetooth earbud.

"What kind of driver's license does this sort of RV need?"

He turned his head and called out to Tian Nina. "I just checked. This kind of RV can be driven with a C1 license."

But Tian Nina did not come up, her face a little red. "I still don't dare."

"Don't be scared. I've read the manual. It's really simple."

With Lin Qiye encouraging her, Tian Nina got ready and fastened her seat belt.

She asked nervously, "What do I do?"

Lin Qiye covered his Bluetooth earbud and gave a quiet order.

"You can activate assisted driving now, right?"

Then, following the Intelligent AI's words, he began instructing Tian Nina. "Don't be nervous. Insert the key first, then turn the ignition device on the right side of the steering wheel. After the engine starts, let it warm up for two to three minutes."

With someone guiding her, Tian Nina calmed down a lot.

She did as told, waited for the warm-up to finish, and even specially checked the dashboard for any abnormalities before finally releasing the handbrake.

With a slight sway, the RV slowly drove out.

"Actually, I think driving an RV isn't that hard."

Lin Qiye continued guiding her. "Just like that. Keep the speed steady. Treat it like driving a large vehicle. Leave more distance before stopping, accelerate and decelerate slowly, and leave more following distance than you would in a small car."

Driving carefully, Tian Nina asked, "Where are we going?"

Right, where were they going? Once they left the school, it would be hard to find another place to park such a large vehicle.

At the very least, it definitely could not be parked over on Fallen Street.

He dialed Jiang Dabao's number.

In the classroom of International Trade Class Three, Jiang Dabao hung up the phone and whispered to Jiang Wanxin, "Big Lin is causing trouble again. This time he got an RV, the same one we saw at school last time."

"That RV was super luxurious. How did he get it?"

"He borrowed it. He has to return it after National Day. He said we're going camping by the river tonight and asked me to let everyone know."

"Let who know?"

"Who else? Our dorm, plus you and Wang Meijia. Nine people in total, just right, not overloaded."

"That's great. Once we get to the river, I want to learn how to drive the RV."

"No way. With your skill level, what if you drive it into the river?"

As the two joked around, a voice suddenly rang out.

"Actually, I have a B license."

The sudden voice startled them both.

It turned out to be their roommate Fang Xinghua, whose presence was practically nonexistent.

This kid—if he did not make a sound, no one would notice him at all. Heaven only knew when he had come over to eavesdrop.

Jiang Dabao didn't believe him. "All you ever do is read. When would you have time to learn to drive?"

Jiang Wanxin chimed in right along with him. "Yeah, and a B license too. What, you know how to drive big trucks?"

Fang Xinghua replied slowly, "The one I took was a B license. If I can't find a job after graduation, I can still drive freight trucks."

That answer was downright astonishing. There was actually someone who worried he wouldn't find work after graduating from university and learned to drive big trucks because of it.

Jiang Dabao's gaze turned complicated. He was utterly impressed by his roommate. That kind of thought process was not something ordinary people possessed.

The RV was parked by the roadside. Passing students kept glancing over, while Lin Qiye and Tian Nina waited inside.

Tian Nina was very enthusiastic about camping by the river. Sitting on a folding lounge chair in the rest area, she called Wang Meijia to discuss what ingredients they should buy.

After waiting for a while, Jiang Dabao, Jiang Wanxin, Lou Xingyu, Bai Qifan, and Fang Xinghua all arrived.

A few minutes later, Li Nanguang and Wang Meijia ran over too.

Everyone got in and admired the RV's luxurious setup. Fang Xinghua asked shyly, "Can I drive it?"

Jiang Dabao spoke up for him. "He has a B license. He's an old hand."

Lin Qiye hadn't expected Fang Xinghua to have that skill too. In that case, letting him drive out of the city would be much safer than having Tian Nina do it.

Then he stood beside him and instructed Fang Xinghua on how to operate it.

A moment later, the RV started and moved slowly through the campus.

This time, because Jiang Dabao was there, it drew even more attention.

He pushed open the window, stuck his head out, and bragged whenever he ran into someone he knew. "Bro, look what I'm riding in. A luxury RV. Pretty classy, right?"

Immediately, more and more students gathered around.

Fang Xinghua didn't dare keep driving. "There are so many people. What do we do?"

The RV could only stop on the road. Jiang Dabao pleaded, "Everyone, do me a small favor and clear a path. I'll definitely thank you properly someday."

Laughter and jeers came from outside the vehicle. "Who wants your thanks? Open the door and let us take a look inside. Otherwise, don't even think about leaving."

That was the only option. Lin Qiye quietly instructed Jiang Dabao, "When people come up in a bit, keep an eye on them. Don't let them damage anything in the RV."

"What about you?"

"We'll wait down below."

Lin Qiye and the others got out, leaving only Jiang Dabao and his girlfriend in the vehicle as temporary tour guides.

More and more people came to tour the RV, and they clearly wouldn't be leaving anytime soon. Everyone simply discussed it and decided to go to the supermarket behind the school first to buy some ingredients.

There was a supermarket by the school's back gate that specifically served students and teachers. It was quite well stocked, with everything from vegetables and fresh meat to frozen food.

As the main shoppers, Tian Nina and Wang Meijia hurried here and there, while the remaining men were responsible for carrying things.

Buying supplies for nine people was no small amount either. After more than half an hour, everyone was carrying a big bag.

The bill wasn't expensive, only three hundred and eighty.

The seven of them carried a huge pile of things back to the RV, and there were far fewer people touring it now.

Seeing them return, Jiang Dabao quickly called out, "Brothers and sisters, you've finished looking around, so please get off. We have business to take care of."

After the last few visitors were invited off the vehicle, everyone carried the bags inside, and the RV set off again.

Once they left the school gate, the vehicle's speed clearly picked up a lot. They really hadn't expected Fang Xinghua's driving skills to be this good.

The RV traveled along the riverside avenue, continuing all the way forward.

The high-rises were gradually left behind, and green mountains and clear waters came into view.
