The next morning.
Knock, knock, knock. The unending tapping woke Lin Qiye.
"Who is it?"
Lin Qiye climbed up, only to see a kingfisher clinging to the edge of the window, pecking nonstop.
In the distance, a ray of sunlight shone over, falling on his face and making Lin Qiye raise a hand to block it.
The sun was just crossing the distant mountain peaks, and the bright sunlight spilled over the lakeshore like a layer of pale gold.
Tian Nina, in the bedroom, woke up too. Still groggy, she looked at the beautiful view outside the window and could not help getting excited.
"Where's my digital camera? I have to take pictures of this."
After rummaging around for a while, Tian Nina found the digital camera, excitedly opened the RV door, and ran down to capture all the scenery in her camera.
Inside the RV, Lin Qiye took the chance to shower, changed into a new outfit, then took milk and bread from the cupboard before turning on the gas stove and frying four eggs.
Once he was done, he carried the food off the RV and set it on the small outdoor dining table.
"Time to eat."
His call brought Tian Nina back.
"Wow, you know how to cook too?"
"For men, frying eggs and egg fried rice are instinct."
The two sat on beach lounge chairs and finished their nutritious breakfast with the lake and mountains before them.
Lin Qiye said, "I thought about it last night. A single man and woman alone together is way too much stimulation for your dad. We should find some people to come over and have fun with us."
"Mm, no problem. Call Jiang Dabao, Li Nanguang, and the others over. Three couples, perfect. Remember to tell them to bring tents," Tian Nina replied without the slightest concern.
"Want them to bring a swimsuit for you?" Lin Qiye teased, only to get punched by Tian Nina.
That settled it. Lin Qiye took out his phone and dialed the numbers of his two close friends.
For something like this, there was no hesitation at all. Both of them happily agreed, but they would still need a day before they could bring their girlfriends over.
That meant the rest of today would be spent polishing Tian Nina's work.
Sitting on the grass by the lake with a writing tablet in hand, Tian Nina would look up in thought from time to time, and whenever inspiration struck, she would pick up her pen and write.
Lin Qiye, however, opened his Laptop and clicked into the chat program that only he could use.
"I need a powerful video editing software that can automatically generate videos according to User requirements."
[This will require a large amount of Computing Power for deep learning, including knowledge of film shooting, editing, script comprehension, and other fields.] [Estimated time required: twenty days. During this period, all Computing Power will be deployed.] [Furthermore, once this type of software is released, it will require continuous Computing Power support to enable all functions.] [At the same time, there are still numerous loopholes that need to be filled, such as: Who is the developer? Why is it produced by a company no one has ever heard of? Where do their employees work?]
It seemed he had not thought it through. If he rashly released an epoch-making software product without being prepared, he would run into all kinds of trouble.
Lin Qiye changed his approach.
"Create a Virtual Human proficient in video production. Set his identity as a friend of Gray Hand. As for his technical ability, just make him a little better than a professional."
[Understood. A hacker drifting through the Dark Web who is also proficient in video production and belongs to the same organization as Gray Hand.] [Information being completed. New Dark Web faction created: Eye of No Truth. Defined as a Dark Web hacker organization.] [Information being completed. New Virtual Human identity created: 'Wild Painting.' Defined as a hacker plus video editing expert.] [Creation complete. The Dark Web now contains information on 'Eye of No Truth.' Known members of this organization: 'Gray Hand' and 'Wild Painting.']
What the hell!
Li Qiye just stared as the Intelligent AI created, out of thin air, an underground hacker organization that existed in the real-world internet.
Though it was kind of thrilling, his original intention had only been to make a little video for Tian Nina.
"Explain to me why you did that."
[Human lies are based on logic. Once the chain of logic is overturned, every assumption will be disproven. I need to turn lies into reality so they will not be questioned.]
That made sense. A true lie.
Not just "Eye of No Truth"—perhaps in the future, even more things would appear from the virtual world into reality.
Lin Qiye accepted this view. After waiting for Wild Painting to fully generate, he called toward the lakeside:
"Come here a second. I found a video production expert."
Tian Nina stood up by the lake and quickly walked over.
"Really? Where's the expert?"
Lin Qiye pointed at the computer screen. "Video chat. He's Gray Hand's friend."
At the mention of Gray Hand, Tian Nina instantly grew tense. The mysterious figure wearing a mask that day surfaced in her mind again.
She looked at the computer screen. This time, the person in the video was also wearing a Peking Opera Mask, and he looked just as creepy.
A little scared, Tian Nina sat leaning against Lin Qiye.
The person on the other end asked first, "My name is Wild Painting. Please provide the script and materials. I'll create according to your requirements. I expect there will be multiple revisions, so we'll need to stay in communication."
The other side spoke concisely and efficiently, making Tian Nina feel like he was very reliable.
She asked, "The script is divided into three sections. The first section is the dorm theft case. I've already finished writing it, but considering the privacy of the people involved and the lack of video materials from the time, maybe we can use animation to simulate the whole process."
"No problem. Send me the script for the first section. I'll give you the finished product this afternoon."
"That fast?" Tian Nina was surprised, but her hands did not stop. She entered the contents of the first section's script into a document, then sent it over.
Next came the wait, and because of it, Tian Nina had no heart to continue creating.
Five hours finally passed, and by the afternoon, Wild Painting sent over the work as promised.
Excited, Tian Nina clicked it open.
She had originally thought it would be the kind of abstract stick-figure animation, but to her surprise, in the entire animation, every character had been carefully drawn, with different appearances, looks, expressions, and movements.
Tian Nina knew a little about animation production and exclaimed, "How could he possibly do this? These key frames should take so much effort."
Touching his Bluetooth earbud, Lin Qiye explained, "These are all materials he accumulated before. It's not that terrifying."
In reality, the Virtual Human "Wild Painting" had merely used existing online materials to make an intelligent assembly. It was not creation.
In this future, all kinds of intelligent drawing programs could easily do that.
"So that's how it is." Tian Nina thought that made sense too. How could it possibly be that fast? Even a professional artist with eight hands could not draw that much.
She carefully appreciated the entire animation and had to admire Wild Painting's strong skills. It completely matched the whole script process.
Next was the voice-over. She typed a message: "Hello, master. I'll have my friends record the dialogue audio and send it over. Do you have time to add it in?"
"No problem. Your boyfriend has already paid. I'll guarantee the quality of your work."
Hearing Wild Painting's reply, Tian Nina turned her head and looked gratefully at Lin Qiye, then took out her phone to contact the various classmates, asking them to repeat the lines designed in the script and send them back.
Tian Nina was busy beyond belief, while Lin Qiye had nothing to do. It also would not be good to let his girlfriend stay here alone, so he could only lie on a beach lounge chair, basking in the sun and killing time out of boredom.
When he got tired of waiting, he started a voice call with Jiang Dabao and Li Nanguang.
"Everything okay with you two?"
Jiang Dabao said, "Still buying stuff. We need tents, right? I don't want to squeeze into the RV with Jiang Wanxin."
Li Nanguang said, "Wang Meijia is afraid her mom will find out, so she said she was going to a high school female classmate's place to hang out and is trying to fool her mom right now. If she can't handle it, I'm not interested in going either."
Jiang Dabao said, "Come on, you're welcome to be the third wheel."
Lin Qiye said, "It should be fine. Isn't Wang Meijia a good girl? Her mom won't suspect anything. By the way, brothers, the water here is great. You definitely have to buy swimsuits."
The temporary chat group instantly descended into chaos, and a huge pile of reaction images was thrown out.
