| Gender | Male |
| Affiliation | Tang Sect; Shrek Academy 1 6 |
| Occupation/Role | Shrek student; later depicted as a teacher and mission leader in the Heavenly Screen's Four Nations War of the Evil Eye Legend scenario 6 118 |
| First Appearance | Chapter 1 1 |
Background
Bei Bei travels with Tang Ya and Huo Yuhao toward Shrek City. Along the way, he is sympathetic to Yuhao's upbringing and concerned for his safety during the early soul-ring incidents 1 6.
He is Mu En's great-grandson. Mu En considers both Bei Bei and Yuhao part of Shrek's promising new generation and future support for the Ancient Life Tree Pavilion 30.
In later Heavenly Screen scenarios, Bei Bei becomes a teacher associated with the Star Luo Empire's dragon-vein affairs. He leads Tang Ya, Ma Xiaotao, and Dai Huabin on a mission to reinforce the seal in the Star Dou Great Desert, using the time-space marks left by his teacher, Shi Xing 117 118 120. Dai Huabin sabotages the repair attempt in pursuit of changing the past, scattering the group through time; Bei Bei later helps complete the seal and advises Dai Huabin to remain at the Calm Dragon Vein Core Land to cultivate 120 173.
Appearance
In the Four Nations War projection, Bei Bei normally conceals his left eye beneath a forehead protector. The eyelid is scarred, and the revealed eye is blood-red with three tomoe 118.
- Wears a forehead protector over his left Evil Eye 118.
- Has a scarred left eyelid from losing his original eye in battle 118.
- His visible ordinary eye is described as having a lethargic, “dead-fish” look when he arrives late to an event 113.
- Carries himself casually despite dangerous assignments and combat situations 113 120.
Personality
Bei Bei balances genuine concern for others with a strict, mission-first outlook. He disapproves when Huo Yuhao delays training to help strangers, arguing that duty cannot be compromised; Yuhao challenges this stance by defending Bei Bei's father, Thunder Dragon Fang, for abandoning a mission to save his teammates 120 121.
His father's death and public condemnation leave him bitter and self-blaming. The argument with Yuhao becomes physical because Yuhao refuses to accept Bei Bei's view that Thunder Dragon Fang was at fault 121.
Despite his severity, Bei Bei is protective of his students and comrades. He tries to encourage Dai Huabin, subdues Ma Xiaotao when her Ancient Ten Fierce power destabilizes her, and later advises Dai Huabin to cultivate rather than recklessly return for revenge 118 173. He can also be calculating: he leverages Dai Huabin's ambition and the Four Great Empires' promise of the Star Luo throne to keep him committed to the coming war 189.
Bei Bei is prone to casual lateness and flippant excuses, a trait that clashes with his otherwise serious approach to responsibility 113. His projected actions against Huo Yuhao later cause him to question his own principles and whether he has truly upheld friendship and loyalty 224.
Abilities & Skills
Evil Eye
Bei Bei's left Evil Eye was entrusted to him by a dying former teammate after Bei Bei lost his own eye. The donor asked him to protect another companion, a responsibility Bei Bei believes he failed 118.
- Single-Tomoe Evil Eye — Greatly enhances dynamic vision and reaction speed, making ordinary opponents appear to move in slow motion 118.
- Two-Tomoe Evil Eye — Perceives an opponent's movements and the flow of ordinary Soul Skill techniques, allowing the user to understand and reproduce them at a glance 118.
- Three-Tomoe Evil Eye — Bei Bei's demonstrated stage; grants powerful illusion techniques and the ability to see through illusions without hand seals 115 118.
- Copy Soul Master title — He is reputed to have copied more than a thousand Soul Skills, though he states that he regularly uses only a few dozen 118.
- Limitation — The Evil Eye cannot copy physique-type special Soul Skills or secret arts 176.
- Cost — Dai Yueheng claims that an eye Bei Bei cannot close continuously drains Bei Bei's potential, preventing him from reaching a higher realm if the condition continues 115.
Soul Skill Versatility
Bei Bei combines copied techniques with conventional combat skills.
- Uses wood-attribute soul power to heal his own wound after being pierced by Scarlet Bone Spikes 123.
- Creates a dragon-headed stone wall through hand seals to block Huo Yuhao's flames 194.
- Uses a water-based technique to counter fire and forms lightning armor around his body for defense 194.
- Fights effectively alongside Tang Ya and Wang Dong'er despite severe injuries during their mission 130.
Time-Space Seal Techniques

- Uses four bladed time-space wheels bearing Shi Xing's marks to form a transfer array 120.
- Leads his team into the Dragon Vein Core Land to reinforce the seal 120.
- Understands that Dragon Vein power can permit temporal observation but cannot alter past events 117.

- Shi Xing — Teacher, identified as the renowned Time-Space Assassin who established the Dragon Vein seal and left Bei Bei its activation marks 120.

- Ma Xiaotao — Student and teammate. Bei Bei calms her when the Ancient Ten Fierce power within her becomes unstable 118.
- Xu Sanshi — Friend and comrade. The two reach the Soul Gem altar together and argue over who should bear the sacrifice required to obtain the gem 305.
- Unnamed former teammate — The dying owner of Bei Bei's left Evil Eye, who entrusted the eye and the care of another companion to Bei Bei 118.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Early Shrek period
Bei Bei accompanies Tang Ya and Huo Yuhao to Shrek City, helps bring Yuhao toward Shrek Academy, and remains concerned when Yuhao's unprecedented soul-ring circumstances put him in danger 1 6.
Dragon Vein mission
As Teacher Bei Bei, he is assigned responsibility for the Dragon Vein anomaly. He brings his disciples to reinforce the seal, but Dai Huabin's betrayal causes the Dragon Vein's power to erupt and scatter the team through time 117 120. Bei Bei eventually participates in stabilizing the seal and urges Dai Huabin to build strength before seeking revenge 173.
Evil Eye conflict
Bei Bei confronts Dai Yueheng while protecting Dai Huabin, but Dai Yueheng's Evil Eyes incapacitate him and expose the danger posed by Bei Bei's own implanted eye 115. He later battles powerful enemies while unable to freely rely on the Evil Eye's copying power, including the physique-focused mercenary Du Busheng 176.
Conflict with Huo Yuhao
In the projected pupil-technique conflict, Bei Bei enters the Cold Pupil Technique Space to stop Huo Yuhao despite remorse over their past 193. Their battle combines Huo Yuhao's fire with Bei Bei's copied defensive, water, and lightning techniques, while memories of their childhood training surface between exchanges 194.
Infinity Gem scenarios
Bei Bei leads surviving Douluo experts and Sacred Hall mages in an ambush against Thanos after the destruction of Douluo Star 299. On Vormir, he and Xu Sanshi learn that obtaining the Soul Gem requires sacrificing the soul of the person they care about most; Bei Bei insists that, as Shrek's next leader, he should not allow Xu Sanshi to take that burden alone 305.
The Heavenly Screen's later alternate outcomes repeatedly depict Bei Bei trying to defeat Thanos by snapping his fingers. Misled by Kaecilius's gestures and incomplete guidance, he dies in each attempt while remaining determined to save the world 320.
