Xia Lin climbed out of the luxurious bed, large enough to sleep five people, and shuffled over in velvet slippers to open the door.
"What a rare visitor, Miss Sera." He leaned against the doorframe, yawning lazily. "At this hour, are you here to check whether my bed is big enough, or did you simply get lost?"

Xia Lin immediately straightened up.
"Alright." Xia Lin stood upright at once, putting away all his jokes. "Judging by that expression, you're not here to borrow money. What is it?"

"Do you remember this?" Sera walked to the table in the middle of the room and took out a leather diary with worn edges from her Space Bag.
"Of course." Xia Lin frowned. "We found it in that damned Old Graveyard in Orlando, inside the tomb of that mage Agnos. Wait, you brought it here because you know what it says?"
"I've only partially deciphered it," Sera corrected. "The diary was written in a mixture of Ancient Elvish, Draconic, and some kind of code I've never seen before. I studied it carefully these past few days. There's still a great deal I haven't deciphered, but I managed to translate some of it—about her, Agnos's own experiences."
