The Most Steadfast Shield

The gap in the battlefield left by the Circus Fleet's panicked retreat was filled by them in an instant.

The Miracle Ship, the Beethoven Ship, the Firewood, Rice, Oil and Salt Ship, and the other fleets holding the sea charged through the waves without hesitation, plunging straight into the encircling ring of giant ships around the Ten-Thousand-Bone Giant and stubbornly holding back the pressure against the faltering defensive line.

On the Ghost Ship's deck, Titch led his skeletal subordinates in tightly binding Corrosive Potions to the tails of massive ballista bolts, wrapping the ropes securely to prevent any possibility of them falling off midair.

Titch raised his eyes and stared at the colossal skeletal body blotting out the sky ahead. He repeatedly instructed the skeletal crossbowmen, "Make sure you aim properly. Lock onto that big guy's neck and fire!"

At the command, six ballista bolts bound with Corrosive Potions tore through the air, shooting straight for the Ten-Thousand-Bone Giant's neck with piercing whistles.

The arrows struck precisely where its neck met its shoulders. Unlike ordinary artillery fire that brutally shattered the surface bones, the bone surface tainted by the Corrosive Potions immediately began to sizzle and smoke!

The struck skeletal hands instantly dissolved and rotted away, leaving one dark hole after another corroded into the Ten-Thousand-Bone Giant's neck.

The skeletal hands that had been hit and fallen off all turned into black filthy water and dripped into the sea. The nearby skeletal hands completely lost their ability to regenerate as well, and that black hollow remained fixed in place, never to be filled by new bones again.

"It works!"

The soul fire in Titch's empty eye sockets flickered, but he swiftly calmed down the next second.

There were simply too few Corrosive Potions—only twenty bottles. Against the mountain-like Ten-Thousand-Bone Giant,
