Last night, the biggest battle since the game launched took place in-game. A total of twenty-five players participated, facing off against thirty Jackalmen led by a Jackalmen boss named Bear Hunter.
After an intense battle, the strengths of the game's four classes had become clear.
The strongest was undoubtedly the Strength Class.
As the name suggested, the Strength Class had the highest Strength Value. Take level-three players, for example: a level-three Strength Class player had a Strength Value of thirteen, enough to completely overpower and kill an ordinary Jackalman in a one-on-one fight. They also dealt the most damage in boss battles and received more experience than players in the other three classes.
By every measure, they were the undisputed top class in the current version.
The Constitution Class and Agility Class were about equally strong, and both were slightly weaker than the Strength Class.
Constitution Class players had high defense and strong recovery, making them the ideal tanks. But the monsters in this game had high AI, and Constitution Class players had no taunt skills (in fact, none of the players had any skills—strongly urging the developers to enable the skill system!), so it was difficult for them to hold the monsters' attention.
Even so, a reliable frontline was still indispensable in many battles.
Especially since the official website had revealed that the realm system would be coming soon. Once it launched, Constitution Class players might finally have their day.
Agility Class players were fast on their feet, quick to react, and swift to strike.
In short, they were fast at everything.
Besides speed, the Agility Class had another hidden trait: hearing and eyesight.
From what I've observed, Agility Class players had much better hearing and eyesight than ordinary players. My analysis is that hearing and eyesight in this game are affected by Agility Value.
If the game adds a class system later on, Agility Class players would suit professions like Archer, light-armored Warrior, or Assassin. They should be quite powerful in PVP.
But in the current version, with no skills and no professions, Agility Class players struggled to deal meaningful damage when facing powerful monsters, so they were slightly weaker than the Strength Class.
Last was the Intelligence Class.
There was really no easy way to put this class's problems: no attack, no defense, no speed. A level-three Intelligence Class player might not even beat a Jackalman one-on-one.
Without Mage-type professions in the current version, the Intelligence Class was at the bottom by every measure. You could even say it was hard to see what the point of this class was.
Until the game updates something related to the Intelligence Class, I don't recommend choosing it.
Those are my personal thoughts and conclusions. I hope they'll be useful to new players.
After Lin Feng finished reading Ranger's post, he nodded approvingly.
He had to admit, the analysis was pretty good.
Especially the part about the Intelligence Class. It wasn't just the players who had no idea what its strengths were—even he didn't know.
Still, he believed the system had a reason for including this class.
They just hadn't discovered it yet.
The post hadn't been up for long, but it already had several replies.
That surprised Lin Feng. There were only thirty players in the game so far. How many could have happened to see Ranger's post and reply at this exact time?
How had it already gotten so many comments?
He took a closer look and realized that several of the commenters hadn't gotten closed-beta access and hadn't entered the game yet.
Message Board:
One Hit 999: Got it. The current version's best class is the Strength Class. I'm picking Strength! Devs, hurry up and release some more spots!
Wind Flower Snow Moon: Great post. I'm that level-three Intelligence Class player who couldn't beat a Jackalman one-on-one. Strongly urging you to buff the Intelligence Class!
Su Ziye: Strongly urging you to buff the Intelligence Class. If you won't, then at least let us make alts!
I Am Invincible You Are Casual: LOL, a battle with a few dozen people is the biggest since launch? What a garbage game. The war game I'm playing now has huge national wars with tens of millions of people all the time. Isn't that way better than this garbage? And a hundred percent realism? Only a three-year-old would believe that!
Da Qing: What national war game lets tens of millions of people fight all at once? Let me see it too (smug face)?
Super Invincible Pili Pala Tyrannosaurus Warrior: Ignore him. This guy's just here to make people laugh.
Begging For No One: Daddy Dev, please give me an activation code! The guy above doesn't believe this game is real, but I do!
I Shoot You Innocent: That's wrong. There were thirty players. How'd you turn that into twenty-five?
Ranger: You five died too early to count (grinning).
I Shoot You Innocent: Screw you!
Lin Feng read through the players' posts for a while, then got to work.
First, he updated the background information with details about the Snake People Tribe.
Then he posted an event announcement on the official website.
Event Announcement:
Tomorrow at noon (midnight Xia Country time), the event to attack the Jackalmen Tribe will begin. All players can get a quest from the chief and join the campaign against the Jackalmen.
Players who take part will receive generous experience and Contribution Points rewards, as well as the limited title "Jackalmen Bane."
Once the Jackalmen Tribe had been wiped out, the realm system would unlock.

After posting the announcement, Lin Feng logged out of the system and went to sleep.
In his dream, a futuristic spaceship descended from the sky. Its hatch opened, and a group of Jackalmen came out.
He stood on the ground as the Jackalmen approached him, saluted one after another, then lined up and marched into the distance.
"I've been dealing with Jackalmen so much lately that I'm even dreaming about them."
When Lin Feng woke up the next day, he recalled the dream and couldn't help shaking his head.
You really did dream about what you thought about during the day.
The first thing he did after getting up was open the official website, as usual.
The number of people who'd signed up had reached 520!
Lin Feng couldn't help grinning at the number. Once the player limit increased, he wouldn't have to worry about finding more players.
Then he checked the event announcement he'd posted before bed.
There were a few more replies beneath it.
Ranger: First!
I Shoot You Innocent: An event! Let's go!
Shooting A Bit Like Kobe: A title! I want a title! I want to become the Jackalmen Bane!
After Three Rounds of Drinks: I'm looking forward to the realm system. It's such a pain having to search the whole world for prey!
Begging For No One: Please give me a closed-beta activation code. Daddy Dev, look at me!
I Am Invincible You Are Casual: Heh, a fake game, and they're still pretending to update it with event announcements?
Su Ziye: The guy above is an idiot!
Lin Feng watched with a smile for a while, then logged off.
The players had begun logging in one after another. Lin Feng assigned them some quests, then went alone to the Outer Valley to see if Wind Wolf had fled during the night.
In a sheltered corner of the Outer Valley, Wind Wolf, in his wolf form, lay on a pile of dry grass, fast asleep.
At the sound of Lin Feng's footsteps, his ears shot up and his eyes opened.
"Greetings, Chief."
As soon as he saw Lin Feng, Wind Wolf changed back into his Jackalman form and respectfully greeted him.
Seeing that he hadn't taken advantage of the night to escape, Lin Feng smiled in satisfaction.
"Isn't it cold sleeping out here?"
Lin Feng asked.
"No, it isn't."
Wind Wolf answered quickly.
"I'm planning to build some wooden huts in the Outer Valley. I'll build you one too."
Lin Feng said.
He couldn't leave Wind Wolf sleeping outdoors forever.
As the tribe developed, residents of this world—whether Human Race or other races—would surely come to join the Starry Tribe.
It wouldn't be appropriate to have the players live alongside the residents of the Savage World.
That was why he'd been having the players chop trees and stockpile lumber: he planned to build houses in the Outer Valley and separate it from the Inner Valley.
The players would log in and out in the Inner Valley, while the residents of this world would live in the Outer Valley. The Inner Valley would be a restricted area, and no one could enter without permission.
"Thank you, Chief!"
Wind Wolf said gratefully.
He'd always dreamed of having a little wooden hut of his own, somewhere to shelter from the wind and rain.
Unfortunately, the Jackalmen didn't know how to build houses. All they could do was put up tents.
"By the way, I'm planning to take thirty warriors from the tribe to attack the Jackalmen Tribe. We leave at noon. Come with me."
Lin Feng said.
He was taking thirty players away, leaving only five children in the valley. Naturally, he didn't feel comfortable leaving Wind Wolf behind.
Wind Wolf was startled.
When he'd come to scout the valley two days ago, he'd only spotted a little over twenty Human Race warriors, and had assumed that was all the people in the Human Race tribe.
But the Human Race tribe had lost more than ten people in yesterday's battle, and today they could still gather thirty warriors to attack the Jackalmen Tribe!
That meant the number of people he'd spotted wasn't the entire Human Race tribe.
Who knew how many more were hiding in the Inner Valley?
"Yes!"
After his shock, that was all Wind Wolf could say.
Did he dare refuse?
